Because Dangerfield doesnt want to be in Adelaide and has stepped on Craig's toes. Thus Craig wont give him a game until he pulls his head in.

This maybe another Craigy recuiting blunder, I would suggest at the end of his contract he will return to Vic, allthough Craigy's assessment of Dangerfield tobe a potential gun is correct but the lad wasnt overly interested in comming to Adelaide prefering to remain in Vic to complete his year 12.

One wonders why he overlooked young Ebert, is it the old Port Adelaide blood lines or his Uncle and cousins involvement with the power, because most of the experts saw Ebert a a ready made AFL player.

dangerfield stayed for year 12. Do you know that he didn't want to complete it here?

Plenty of other players have done stayed home for year 12. They gave patty a 3 year starting contract to offset the lost year.

I would prefer a potential gun rather than a run-of-the-mill player, who happens to have had a more developed body. There is a reason 3 other clubs passed on Ebert before the Eagles took him.

Why do u think dangerfield will go home, but not Brad?

The Crows recruiting team had Dangerfield ranked 3rd best in the draft, behind Kreuzer and Cotchin. When it gets to their pick and the 3rd best kid (in their opinion is there) vs the 8th best (Ebert) - what would you do?

Re-read my post I did not say he was a proven AFL player but a ready made player for the AFL there's a big difference.

Remember all the experts agree that dangerfield in time will be a key position player and I dont disagree, but unless he is handled properly he will return to Vic at the end of his current contract, remember he has strong links to the Geelong area.

The best thing the crows can do is push Dangerfield as much as they can, and then trade him for picks.

He has already stated to friends he wont be staying in Adelaide past the end of his contract. Which is why NC is not playing him at the moment.

Who knows, maybe he'll like here - after he starts playing, and everything will turn around.

Remember, he's bottom age too. Meaning when he was drafted he only just snuck in to qualifying, where as other players were a full 12 months older than him.

Look out for Tom Swift. Was rating the best 15 year old in the country until he injured himself quite badly. Missed out the draft 2 years ago, and ended up going to WCE early second round. Absolute bargain.

dunno where u hear that des.

But i agree, that IF he wants to leave, we are best to increase his worth.

But seriously, does he think any other club would pick him when he wasn't training with them?

He wasn't picked for nab games cos he got injured in the pre-season and was behind others in fitness. But i still would've picked him.

on the surface it a strong idea but there are a lot of pitfalls along the way, just ask the Power they got nothing for Stevens when he decided to return home.

A similar story was spread about the Coon Dog when he was recuited by the Bulldogs but the Bulldogs with great player management and good coaching staff secures his future in the western suburbs with a Brownlow to boot, he will be a captain of the doggies
