So, why haven't NPL taken this idea that appears to be a simple solution to us knowing the time, date and where each the finals will be held???????
I can't wait to see the reply from NPL management.

given your self proclaimed business knowledge bob, i am surprised you of all people would think it is "easy" to plan venues for a WHOLE year in advance - how many venues pull out, change nights, cater for weddings, have renovations, have special events, unforseen circumstances...
letting us know a season in advance would be good, a whole year wouldn't be feasible
I agree with you benny the cunt I did have good business sense and I have received the finacial rewards to go with them M8. But if the owners of JM Insurance Brokers, Able Pest Control, The Bramalco Group, Forrest Discount Furniture, City Discount Furniture, just to name a few.
Had they asked for mine or my teams projected sales, marketing costs, promotional plans, costs and profits etc, and I showed them a 10 week plan they'd have my proverbial on the table. However, it's not about me or you benny the cunt it's about preplanning in advance as I'm sure NPL are doing and have been doing since their inception.
I don't know your employment back ground benny the cunt but most well structured businesses have a projected program or plan for the year ahead of some sort and I'm sure again NPL are no different. And if NPL used your platform of only thinking one season ahead then they are in deep carp.
Sometimes the unforeseen does happen and an adjustment is necessary. So, using your negative view NPL would have to seek an alternative venue to continue and progress. You highlighted the wrong word M8. You should have highlighted PLAN not WHOLE.
Preplanning makes good business sense because you have a PLAN that ideally if unbroken or disturbed will give you the results you have projected for the coming 12 months of business. And to go one step further as Garth has implied he has plans and ideas much further ahead than next season.
And yes, some venues do fall out for one reason or another but I'm sure NPL will need to rely on the support from their larger venues that are able to also plan and program 12 months ahead.
Sometimes something so simple as what was suggested by Sunbury2 can be overlooked by the best operators in the business. Hence they actually "POOL" ideas from their people associated with their industry. In NPL case it's their staff/management, TD's and us here on the forum.
The forum is a magnificent pool of ideas for Garth and others to take ideas from or have a simple discussion on such as we are doing now. Yes, there will be cancellations from NPL, yes there will be weddings, renovations and special events.
How far ahead do you think those other businesses plan ahead for those particular events? Parafield Gardens are having a major restructure of their premises. How far ahead do you think they had planned for when the best time was to do it, how much it was going to cost, how will effect their income, members, staff etc, etc.
One of my favorite saying was and still is ........ Plan your work and work to your plan.
And Bacon. For what it's worth you get a short version.
I figure Sunbury2 was refering to simplifying a 10 week season to a 9 week season and having the finals on the 10th week. This would alleviate any problems or grey areas with a "when or where will the finals be" and it just makes good business sense.
Have a good day boys.
