no temp recording in waikerie, but the bom record temp at cobby, and its 43.1 there at the moment.
adelaide is 41.3, parafield is 43.
not quite 46 or whatever that site said for waikerie, but still bloody hot.
pretty sure that site exaggerates a bit

Re: Beat this !!
Yeah they had revised it down yesterday. BOM saying 44 for renmark tomorrow, so its gonna be another scorcher. Weather.com is saying 45 so so relief in sight yet.

Re: Beat this !!
revised down my arse
under my pergola at 5.30pm my outdoor thermometer (in the shade, and an expensive digital one too boot) said 46 degrees
i also had a client pull out a digital thermometer and test the air temp in our yard today ( admitadly over concrete and in the sun) and showed a max temp of 51 degrees
i recon the site was pretty spot on.

Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Re: Beat this !!
Someone said to me today there was a spot in Gawler that, in the shade, was reaching 50 degrees. Bit much if you ask me.

Re: Beat this !!
if the temp on your back veranda is different to an official temperature recorded by the BOM, im going with the BOM one.
i am not saying it wasn't 46 degrees though, just that your veranda would trap a lot of heat

Re: Beat this !!
benny the cunt have you ever seen the official temp reading devices
they are a box approx 3 times the size of a shoe box, painted white and with small vents to allow limited air flow
now these things are used to give official (in the shade ) wet bulb tempetature readings
now im not saying mine is sardi or pirsa acurate but the device im using is an $1100 digital thermometer/weatherstation correctly installed in the shade with air flow avalible
now as i said not sardi/pirsa acurate but bloody close
if i wasnt within 2 degrees i will go EEEEEE

Re: Beat this !!
Wow, Krunchie.
1st question. Why do you have a $1100 digital thermometer in the first place.
2nd Questions. Is it really that hard to buy presents for you.
3rd. Thanks for getting an idea for my dad's next present.
.
Answer to number 1 would be awesome. What do you do for a living? Or do you really like to know the temperature.
Not being facetious here, but am genuinely curious.

yes krunchie, it is called a stevenson screen.
are there any sources of radiant heat nearby? the bricks of the house and the tin from a pergola roof are 2 good examples.
as i said, i am not denying that it was 46 at your place, but the temp recorded at home is always higher than the official one

Regardless of if it was 40, 42, 44 or 46 degrees. I have four words for you:
