How many games could you play in 18 days???????

One would think that if the funds were available and the missus wasn't gonna go on tilt that maybe, just maybe, one a day would be nice.

Wow, 18 days, 18 games would give you a fair crack at making the top 50 providing you played well enough to finish in the top 15 a few times.

So, if I said I was going to play say 30 or 31 games in 18 days you'd say, your full of it Bob, don't you have a home life.

Well I just had a look at the top 50 and there's two guys doing just that. Nicholas Ash has hit 30 games and Eugene Wong has 31 to his name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If their TD's are slack and haven't posted their results for last night then it's possible that they could have played in another 2 tourneys last night. I can't think of a reason why they didn't considering their current form, LOL.

So, they could be sitting on 32 or 33 tourney's a piece. Hmmmmm, once again I'm at a loss as I'm not sure if I should congratulate them or feel sorry for them!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, in closing I'm gonna take a punt and say that one of them will hit around 124 tourney's by the end of the 10 weeks.

I guess it comes down to how much you want to be the "TOP DOG" as against how much you have to spend.

Is this what was meant by rewarding those who support NPL.

Do the maths they'll need the $2000 to recoup some of their costs???

Good luck guys, I really hope that one or both of you are successful because your certainly putting in the effort.

there is more to the world then poker, maybe they should cut down a few games and with the money saved play at the casino, it will not only improve there game (better opposition) they might actually profit financially if they play well enough

If I had the free time I would be playing poker that much as well, maybe not pub poker, but everyone has the right to enjoy as much poker as they want. They may be using NPL as a stepping stone to the real games and honing their skills in the league.
For some people, poker is their life. I am one of those tragics. I have had to break up with girlfriends because they didn't like me "gambling" so much or couldn't bear to watch me sit down at a table with what equated to a month's pay for them.
And in my younger days if I did have had a bad session I wasn't the best person to hang out with.

LOL. Moving to SA taught me how to handle bad beats! Take that comment any way you want!
The first 6 months I rolled so bad over here I would quite foten suck monstrous suck outs on the river and before I knew it I had had a negative swing so bad I had sucked out almost 3000 from my bankroll.
Three weeks in a row I had the same scenario. I had KK UTG, I raise, re raise by dealer or the cutoff. I re raise again, they either push or call. Flop is rags, turn is rag, by the turn all the money is in the pot. I am talking $800 minimum in the pot. River was a Q. Every time, three weeks in a row. You know why they call it a sick beat, because you seriously do feel like vomiting, I generally don't but after three weeks I felt like I had being raped several times. Normally I have to take my belt off at least to be screwed that royally.

Makes me feel a little better about losing out with what now seems like meager $100 pots continuously on hands that were bet, raise, re-raise, all in and where I thought I was so far in front that it wasn't funny. Can't ever say that I've had a sick feeling, but it doesn't feel good.

yep sorry garth, one of those posts where i dont read over what i write before posting

but i do believe there is only so much NPL poker will help your game, against weaker opposition (there is always a few at a table) there is only so much strategic play you can use against them, it will be way over there head

you are right of course, sometimes no strategy whatsoever is the best one.
