I've met him too.

Let's just say.... WANKER. Perfect example of.

I don't have a problem with his on-court persona at all. I think it's good for the game and the fans. Davis cup is a perfect example of that.

The guy's just a tosspot though.

Edit:

Sorry, an on-topic note.

Matty Hayden is a legend. I defended him all though-out the summer and would've loved to see him go to the ashes. We'll need all the experience we can get. And he is someone who will fight to end in the big matches.

His form wasn't that bad. Several unlucky decisions went his way over the last 6 months that could 've completely changed the landscape of the summer. Maybe.

Regardless, I tend to give someone who may have had his day but has the results to back it up the benefit of the doubt over someone who has never proved that they can live up to the same standards.

And realistically, there is no-one bashing the door down for the openers spot ATM.

what about jaques, who averages 45 in tests and scored a hundred in his last test before getting injured.

or rogers, who has over 1000 runs in like every shield season for the past 3

or hughes and warner, who are still young, but are bashing them everywhere at the moment

i think as far as openers go, there are LOTS that could take his place, and this was the problem

HOW can you say Warner for a test openers spot?

He HAS NOT played a single sheffield shield match.

Definately yes for the one day squad, but definate NO for the test squad.

He played U19's for NSW, batting at 7, and averaged 22 with a highest score of 48. In fact, in 23 under-age (U17 and U19) he's made one 50, and no 100's.

He might do wonders in 20/20 and One dayers.... but there is no way in hell can you consider him for the test openers spot.

With the ashes coming up, you have to pick someone with experience... thats why I think Phillip Hughes may miss out.

where did i mention tests des?

of course warner is not even in the thinking for the test team. noone knows whether he has any sort of technique yet, just that he would be a good baseballer. but he certainly mounts a case for some one day games, particularly since watson (who was opening in ODIs) is also injured.

i think that phil jaques, if fit, will certainly reclaim his position in the test team. i also think that hughes should go along as a reserve batsman to SA and england

did you see the way warner was hitting the ball the other night? i reckon he would make an excellent baseballer. you are right though, most cricketers would not be so good

what are u smoking, his form stinks

hes 37 years old, its definately time to hang up the boots, it was evident that the selectors told him to retire or be as you could say HACKED from the team

but he is such an arrogant character he would never think of its time to give someone else a go at the top level, Warne and McGrath retired at the top of there game, i wish Hayden did the same
