Hi there Queeny, I'm one of the nice guys on here, LOL. And like yourself, I also have an opinion that some people take the wrong way.

You can't be any blunter than saying "YOU DON"T LIKE THE IDEA" and that's your opinion and you obviously have your reasons like myself.

Be yourself Queeny and continue to voice your opinion. I'm not nor will I ever be one of the don't rock the boat people. I pride myself in sharing ideas and experiences with others both on and off of the forum.

Be they good or bad I have shared my thoughts and ideas with many individuals over my 65 years on this planet and I'm not gonna stop now.

I'd love to catch up with your lot next time I'm in Victoria and have a friendly game or two. I'll need to find someone who wants to go shopping to keep the missus happy because she doesn't like playing cards of any description. Poor thing :o

The guys on here are nice but they are all from a similar mold/mould (not sure which one is correct but Pete will tell me, LOL) so their opinions rarely vary from post to post. Now guys I meant that in the nicest possible way so don't get nasty. 8-)

hey Bob, not sure how often you get to victoria or how often, but we would love to have you come play with us ... and you represented what I thought this forum was about and for, simply, by saying that it is an opinion, and like it or not, we have a right to voice it.

just to go back to something that was said earlier, about people coming to me to ask questions instead of going to Garth - please remember that Garth has only been in Vic for a few months, and no one really knows very much about who he is or what he does. the name 'Carlos' still rings in their ears, and they are not yet familiar with 'Garth'. some of them are not computer literate and some just want a quick answer without going looking for it, and a straight answer, that they don't always get from the td, whose sense of humour is obviously on a different level to most of the rest of us... so they come to me. and I have been a great advocate for the NPL, in fact, I helped to build a venue from averaging 16 players, to almost 50, with players coming from Craigieburn, Geelong, Chelsea and Werribee to play, just on a call from us to say we were going.

We also have other players who play outside of their normal region so that they can come play with us and because we promote our venues. But now we don't play as often, we don't follow the information like we used to - and I got tired of telling people one thing, only to have it change.

so I have encouraged everyone who approaches me with a complaint or with something they don't know or understand, to get into the forum ... so where are they???? who knows... lol ... I spread Garth's name around as the person to ask, do they get in touch with him, nope, they come and ask me who he is and why he will do the things Carlos perhaps didn't do ....

People need to get used to Garth and the changes he has made, and I can't defend him too much when I don't know how things will affect us - and so far, not so good ...lol. general concensus is that he has come in and changed too much, too quickly ... but only time will tell hey ...

meanwhile, I pass on info, and encourage people to phone garth, but again, you can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink ... unless you teach it to play poker first ... lol

looking forward to meeting some of you guys, you are all very interesting and I love reading your posts ... please note the positivity in this sentence ... lol .... take care ... queen9

So first you complain that things need to change, then you complain that things are changing too quickly?

Have you thought about starting the QPL? Queens Poker League? Then you won't have anything to complain about.

(And by the way i respect everyones right to have their say and voice their opinions, but that doesn't mean they are right or make sense)

The opinion is usually "Bob, you're wrong."

first of all, I don't ever remember saying that I think things need to change or that they are changing too fast. We had a system in place here in Victoria, that was working well - except for the communication issue - which has been brought up and Garth is well aware of the issues and problems that it causes.

This system that was working well, has been in need of a few tweaks, but now it has been totally changed and does not resemble anything like we had. a few tweaks turned into a major overhaul and it has thrown a lot of players who are having problems understanding how it will all work.

I did say that the general concenses was that things are changing too fast - again, that is not me or me alone - just the general discussions that I hear or am involved in. Having said that though, I am reserving my judgement until I see for myself ...

as far as the QPL ... rumour has it I already have ... lol ... so now tell me why I am still bothering to have any input here - does it not show my compassion and dedication to the NPL? why am I encouraging people to come into the forum - I spent time with a lady yesterday afternoon helping her work out how to get in here and post ... why would I bother if I didn't care?

Why would I still be playing, promoting venues and npl and talking to players about what is still available when they have gone out and getting ready to go home - bad beat tables, 'wannabe' tables and so on. this helps support the venue and the NPL as some of the players don't know that there is life after the main game bad beat puts you out, they just walk out ....

don't ever doubt my intentions, and you don't have to agree with my opinions, any more than I have to agree with yours'... and whether we are right or wrong is neither here nor there, the right to our opinion is what I will defend. :D

Bob ... opinions are not right or wrong ... if you say the water is orange, then you are making a statement - and you would be wrong.

if you say you don't agree with TD's playing, you are not wrong, that is your opinion. and when we say it is wrong, in this instance, it is because in our opinion, it is because of what we believe and what we voice as our opinion.

2 + 2 = 5 ... is wrong ... and can be proven wrong ... no one can prove an opinion wrong as it is based on what you think and what you believe. so go for it, and I will support your right to have that opinion.

People don't say your opinion is wrong, they're saying in their opinion, you're wrong. which is neither right or wrong.

It's simple people!
