From the start I must say the the eventual winner of the hand played it perfectly.
We left the Ark after the bad beat game for those knocked out of the Shootout, we decided not to play the partners event, as we were all feeling the effects of the previous late night and the early start to drive down from the riverland, so we decided to play the mid game at Pooraka.
Pooraka Sunday (PG Early Game)
I'm delt [As] [Qs] sure it the death hand in WSOP.
The flop is [8h] [8c] [8s]
The betting is reasonable but no real heavy hitting
The turn is [7c]
a bit of action the 3rd player in he hand show some aggression I thought he may have hit his boat but there were plenty of outs for me, I called along with the other player in the hand.
The River [Qd]
I check
2nd Player pushes all in, 3rd player responds with his own all in, I consider I have hit the boat 8/Q, at worst I could have a split pot.
I show my Q,8 boat
2nd Player shows the same
The 3rd player turns over [8d] [7d] he also hit hit boat and QUADS
He played the the hand to perfection getting the maximum he could hope fore
I did not see it coming

It's very easy when the board has quads! It was always a possibility here... But i wouldn't have gotten away from it either.
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

Re: I did not see it comming
i think i would have folded on the turn here. fine to call a bet on the flop with overs, but another bet on the turn would have suggested to me that i was up against a 7, 8, any pocket pair or AK.
Did you/how much did you raise pre-flop here? i would have thought anything more than a min-raise here is getting 78 out of a hand, regardless of position...

Re: I did not see it comming
Holding AQ with that much action, I fold on the turn.
Six outs, that's all I am drawing too as long as nobody has the nuts. That puts me at 13% to win the hand in the best possible scenario.
Re raise pre, c bet flop/check call flop, fold turn.

Re: I did not see it comming
that doesnt really change the part about folding on the turn
you are more then likely to be against someone who flopped the full house with a mid pocket pair
or quads

Yeah, definitely fold on the turn. What G man said, raise preflop, c-bet/check call flop, check fold turn.
