Re: Australia v South Africa, 1st Test, Perth
Anyway, I want to change the discussion. Who thinks our current bowling attack is going to trouble South Africa's imposing batting line-up?

Sorry scott, takes a while to post on my phone (thought i'd lost the last one).
If only i could remember the ip hiding website, to get around the firewall
Muzz, if we lose, i'll be maintaining my average, so i won't be underperforming, so no need to get replaced

If Bacon's soccer prowess is anything like his poker, he'll only score goals when the ball hits him in the face, and the incredulous keeper is laughing too much to save it

i'm a keeper/defender so i don't score many. I have scored a hattrick before though. The element of surprise

but hayden deserves at least the rest of this summer.
Agreed. One bad series in India shouldn't get you dropped. Give him this series, an the next 3 tests in SA, then drop him if he hasn't turned it around by then.
Selectors will have one eye on next years ashes - they wouldn't want to insert an untried opening or inexpercienced combination at the top of the order for such a series.

the selectors have 5 tests to try an opening combo before the ashes. If it doesn't work, then recall hayden. Say he's being rested for the saf tour.
Didn't rogers and katich open the batting for WA?

Possibly like 6 years ago, Katich has been wearing the baggy blue for a while now. But even then im pretty sure Mike Hussey was opening in those days, so you could be right, but im not sure.
