rosemary, i think its time that you looked to the future instead of criticising what happen a year ago. that cannot be changed now, so there is no point harping on about it. (please dont read that as being rude, i am not trying to be)

but you sound like the sort of person that has lots of ideas, and we would all love to hear what you have to say about them.

the future can be changed, but the past cannot

I understand that Rosmeary, but you raised the issue and I was clarifying a few facts that were not communicated to Victorian players. To "learn from our past" I need to understand what went wrong and where, if anything did go wrong.

the inserted quote is from a post I did, and taken by garth into his post and this was his response.... and that is all I am doing.

bennymacca, I am not trying to harp on about it, and would have considered the matter dried up, but if you read the above, you will see what I am responding to ... and Pete, happy to do so mate .. and soooo looking forward to taking your chips ... lol ...

Bring it on mate!

This is purely in jest, but ask kentishgirl what happened the last time an SLB legend issued a challenge :P

I would love to have a state vs state event/weekend - like the davis cup ...lol ... singles, doubles, teams ...whatever we can fit in, all adding points for our states and then declaring one state the champion state - perhaps something FTT tokens can be used for - determining who will represent their state ... you are taking those who make final tables, competing against each other to find the best/most consistent players to make up the s.a. and vic (and whoever else wants to play) teams ... what a great weekend of poker it would be.

The only problem with this is that I am not likely to qualify ...but I will come and watch...lol ... (having a dry run with cards, although I just won a homey ... )

steve g ... perhaps this is a note for garth, if he decides this is a good idea, to make sure that the people who are playing off to qualify, would actually make the trip before they take chips off another player ...

and I believe that state vs state would mean that we would both travel to somewhere ... and while I am happy to go anywhere for a game, even just for the title of national champion, I know there are some who wouldn't.

I suppose none of this has any bearing at the moment as there has been nothing planned or arranged, but if it does come to fruition, you might be disadvantaged if you only want to play at your venue, but not mine.

I suppose only time will tell... lol ....

I wouldn't travel to Melb either, just for an NPL game - and you won't find many people that would.

I've wanted to play an NPL game when I've been in Melbourne, so I would go if a tourney was organised, especially if it was on a Crows weekend :) :D
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become
