State versus State ?

Postby bennymacca » Thu Dec 11, 2008 5:20 pm

Part of the format for the Victorian Finals weekend is this:

Saturday

$1,000 Warm up and last chance Satellite.

Registration: 11am – 12pm.
Tournament Format: Multi Table Tournament Freezeout.
Start Stacks: T3,000
Blind Levels: 20 minutes.
Qualification Criteria: Open to all players. All players who make the final table auto qualify for State Finals.

When discussing the format for the Victorian Final weekend benny the cunt asked....

what if for some reason an SA player was in melbourne that week. would they be able to play in the first game that is open to anyone?

lol SA raiding party?? :P

PS i am not in melb for that week, just asking a boring hypothetical

I don't have a problem with that.

I am sure many Victorians would, apparently. But all in all the more we get the more fun it is and the happier the venue is.

The prize money from that event will more than likely spring from my pocket anyway as I am already over budget on this finals.

I just wanted to try something different and see if interested people.

I tell you what if you get over 40 SA players to come across I will fund a SA only side tournament.

I'll set it up so you can all spectate the increased level of skill displayed by the majority of Vic players.

I'm glad you didn't say bring 40 decent players... dunno if we could do it :)

Definitely sounds like a challenge that's there to be had, would be awesome to have an interstate rivalry thing once a year or something.
