Well after only missing one day of poker I have moved from 6th to 9th on the state leaderboard.....double december points have hit me hard!


Oh well, I am giving up the chase everyone, cant be bothered giving up every night of the week to compete for a couple hundred dollars cash.....good luck to Duc, I hope he takes it out this season

Sorry to hear that Kentishgirl, but let's be realistic. We all knew it was gonna have this sort of effect on some people and you certainly waved the white flag by your concerns in the initial post.

I have vented my feeling on the subject and feel the same as yourself. The timing had a lot to be desired and very little if any concerns for the feeling of those who had already put in the hard yards to gain their positions in the top ten have gone to the wolves.

Now it has become open slather to anyone with the desire to play as many games as possible, play hands they would never have played previously and if the bust out move onto the next late venue.

vic, how many places would u have dropped if they got normal points?

Re: pgcc game. It brought players out, and the 3rd placed person at pg has only played there once, and a good chance for state finals. Phcc have subsequently taken away place points from their game so not to upset regulars. I think it has a place in this discussion, in the right way.

Ph may not get as many runners now, cos high points aren't on offer. So point chasers will play elsewhere.

Also if they've jumped spots just after one day, they must have been around the mark anyway.

It's not like they have played 15 games in one night to qualify for the leaderboard.

They still have to have 15 good games to get up there.

Everyone has the option to play in December and thus get double point. Vic could go out tonight and win a tourney and jump up into 4th etc...

She's only dropped because she chose not to play, thus giving everyone who did a chance to jump her. Still 19 days to go!

Scott, i think that any venue smart enough to attract a large field deserve all they get. I am for double points december.

I'm just pointing out, they have different conditions. I believe dakota's bounty game still awarded normal points.

Can anyone confirm or deny if double points have been awarded in the past? Cos i thought they had.
