Second good performane in a row for the redbacks. Centuries from callum fergusson (finally extracting his talented digit) and younus khan mean the redbacks are 4/317 at tea on day 2, chasing 352 from queensland. First innings points are almost assured here, but id love callum fergusson to belt a big ton here and set us up for the outright win.
It could have been even better, as we had them 5/78 in the first innings until less carseldine (152) and ryan harris (51) rescued the situation. Man we should have never let that guy go. Set up for us though...

Re: How disappointing are the Jellybacks!!
although it took them an age to get the last 4 out for queensland, they still have a decent chase and are doing well. they are 1/91 needing another 243 at 3.52 an over
so they really should win from here, especially with the scoring rate as it has been so far in the game - obviously a good pitch to bat on
COME ON!!!

Re: How disappointing are the Jellybacks!!
I wouldn't say they should win from here (2/116 now btw) - it's never easy chasing 300+ on the last day of any test/shield match - but they are in with a good chance. If they do get the runs, I'd say it's a fantastic performance.

you are right, it is never easy - they are not 2/140 odd, so still going well.

2/202 at tea.
Need another 132 runs in 34 overs. Definitely doable, but they'll need to score at almost 4 an over for the last session to take the outright win.

Re: How disappointing are the Jellybacks!!
if borgas and klinger can stay there for another hour or so, they should be right to launch from there
go go go
if they win, i wonder when the last time SA scored 744 in a match was? i dare say it has been a while

Klinger what a superstar, on 99 at the moment
if this form continues he would have to be considered a chance for an Australian call up, his average is 109.9

Re: How disappointing are the Jellybacks!!
Who are you gonna drop for him though.
Hayden - wont happen
Katich - no
Ponting - no
Clarke - no
Hussey - no
Symonds - no, Klinger dont bowl
Haddin - no, Klinger can't keep
Although he's dominating, I can't see him getting into the aussie team.

Hayden is in pretty poor form, they might consider dropping him for a couple of games if this slump continues

505 runs @ 38.85 in 2008 in 14 innings.
2 x 100's
2 x 50's
I don't see him getting dropped.
