HEY WE GO!
Please be patient with this post guy! I have sumed up a point structure example in which i believe is so awsome you will not be able to deny its value. It is also very complicated so i hope i explaing it well.
I have 2 example players to represent how the system works. These examples are accurate based on the current proformance of Enzo (last seasons number 1) and Emily (the girlfreind) in this season so far.
OK!
Instead of an average system what we do is this.
Emily has played 13 games
Enzo has played 16 games
Emily has made the final table 53.84% of the time
Enzo has made the final table 37.50% of the time
Emily's average final table placing is 3.14
Enzo's average final table placing is 4.33
Emily has made the top 16 (10th-15th) 0% of the time
Enzo has made the top 16 (10th-15th) 6.25% of the time
Emilys average 10-15th is 0
Enzos average 10-15th is 3.0
I award 10 points for each percentage of final table placing
I award 5 points for each percentage of (10th-15th) placing
(*NOTE - The 10th-15th position finishes are awarded as such...
10th = 1pts
11th = 2pts
12th = 3pts
13th = 4pts
14th = 5pts
15th = 6pts)
Emily has 538.0 points (final tables)
Enzo has 375.0 points (final tables)
Emily has 0 points for 10th-15th finishes
Enzo has 31.25 points for 10th-15th finish
I divide those scores with the average placing, for example,
Emily 538.0 divide by average FT place 3.14 = 171.33
Emily scores 0 points (10-15th) average is 0
Enzo 375.0 divide by average FT place 4.33 = 94.51
Enzo 31.25 (10/15 finish) pts divide by average 3 = 10.41
(the better average place, the more the higher the divided score)
Total season points Emily = 171.33
Total season points Enzo = 104.92
Now to add further complication there ultimate score is that total, mulitplied by the average number of players per tournament in which the points were accumulated.
Emilys average player count per scoring event = 33.71
Enzos average player count per scoring event = 46.0
TOTAL ULTIMATE SCORE
Emily = 5,775.53
Enzo = 4,826.32
As you can see based all all aspects of the players perfomance, Emily so far this season has performed better. (sorry Enzo) Enzo how ever had his score boosted by the fact he plays in larger sized tournaments.
This system is completly fair... (in my opinion of coarse) I welcome any infomation anyone has to offer if you believe it to be false.
What i know submit is (if your still reading) as good as system could be, it is ridiculasly complicated. Results are difficult to work out on a progressive basis and at the end of the day Garth in his right mind would laugh the idea out the door if i ever suggested we utilise a system such as this....
But who know, what i have suggested could be simplified and one day practiced.
