bruce, i am sorry to say this, and i hope that this doesn't sound rude or offend you, but when you are on the table, i love it, because i never have to think about my game when you are playing. the way you play means that unless i have a good hand, i am not calling when you bet. and if i am heads up with you, i regularly bet with absolutely nothing, because i know you will fold anything less than top pair with a decent kicker.

so bruce, i think in a way i am throwing down the gauntlet to you.

At one stage I was over playing at my local venue it wasnt fun playing lotto and bingo players, muppetts and mongoes.

Now it enjoyable I play with same group of blokes that are what I consider the best or better player at the venue, the usual line up is

Maccatak11 his performance this season speaks for it self
Krunchie a very tight player
Fred Mr couple a hundred
Demo was a tight player now as loose as a used condom
Nigel a solid player his biggest claim to fame all 1st hand and out at his 1st state final.
Robbie he the wild card
Ed he's a hard read for me, head to head we would be 50/50.

If someones away then we have players like
Putty his game has improved out of sight but some of the locals can get into his head
Mega Tilt his name says it all.

If I play up river I tend to try and sit with the better players, I realily enjoy my visits to Adelaide and playing new venues also putting faces to forum names.

Bob go and play somewhere they dont know you and play totally different to your usual game and have fun.

Poor old bweuce you must have a broken crystal ball, its given you 2 bad reads already, gundog and Krunchie would not leave without Macca11 and why would we be looking for cheap gasoline when I have my own gas station.

I've definitely found the whole 'routine' thing to become a bit of a drag. I mostly only get to play 1 night a week now (due largely to working shifts now) and the main part I look forward to isn't the poker but the social aspect and telling Ash he's a bad player and how funny Steve's poker face is

Having said that, the freeroll reignited a flame. That was the most fun I've had playing poker for a long time now. I think because it was invite only which lent itself to the overall quality being much higher which in turn led to the poker experience simply being more enjoyable.

It made me realise that I've been looking at the regular games as simply a means to an end and other than the social aspect, I'd rather they were out of the way.

Having said that, we can't always pick who we play against so we kinda hafta live with that, but put me down for a quality invitational anytime. So much more fun!

What I'd like to see now are some announcements from head office about promotions or special tourneys or whatever.

Things we've had so far such as the teams event and the Berri Deepstack were absolutely sensational and with massive attendances and I REALLY hope they both continue.

More of those please!
