No.

36/45.

Still a pathetically bad showing with the chip stack I had.

Now for the fun part,

What did you do wrong and post hands that you either lost big on and any other info.

ATo on an A23 flop. He pushes from the SB with 85s, flush draw with a gutshot, for a little under half my stack. He turned his flush. I limped, definitely should've raised.

And then my remaining stack away with JJ into QQ. SB vs BB. Ugh.

My biggest cash so far - 1st in a $5, 45 man sng. $85 payday..

Yep, that's right. Really happy with that. Played well, however, I did get VERY lucky twice - realistically I shouldn't have even made the FT.

Early on, I have [9h] [Th] in the SB. One limper before us, I call, BB checks.

Flop: [9d] [ts] [4c]. I check, BB checks. Limper min bets. I call, BB folds.
Turn: [x]. I check, limper bets big, I raise all in (only move I had with the size of his bet). He insta calls, showing [4h] [4s]. Oh noooo :(

River: [9c].

Later on, now with an above average chip stack, [As] [Qh]. 3xBB raise... and a call. I flat call.

Flop: [Jh] [Qc] [9d]. From the initial raiser, a bet of 800. Fold from the other caller, I push for 2.5k. He insta calls... [Kh] [Kc].
Turn: [x].
River: [Qd].

Now in the top 3 in chips.

Coasted for a while, before dropping a bit. Was now under the average chip stack. Had a good double up racing my TT against QQ (he min raised, I flat called deciding to push if the flop was 9 high). The flop contained a T, and was J high. That was the end of that.

Then a big hand came up just before the FT. I had AK UTG, and had just won the TT hand a few minutes ago. Blinds 250/500, I went to 1750, from my stack of 10k ish. No 1 all in for 3.5k, fold, FLAT CALL from SB, who, after calling, had 3.8k behind him. Now.... I've been watching this guy play all game. He has been making some bad plays, and horrible calls (called an all in when he had J5 on a 678 flop, the other guy had 54, running T 9 for higher straight).

I figure I'm ahead of Mr flat caller. I push all in. He lets his timebank run down... and then folds. Could've been a time out, or a fold. Anyway, 15k pot... AK vs KQ. I hold, go to the FT with the chip lead.

Final Table
Blinds are now 300/600. I am sitting 1st in chips with 15k, 2nd has 9.5k. Few sick hands early (99 vs KK, 9 on flop) and nothing really happens until we're 8 handed.

Blinds 400/800, I have 16k ish. I have [Kd] [Jd]. UTG flat calls, leaving 4k behind him. I min raise from no 2. Call from SB, and UTG. Both have no more than 4k behind them. After raising, I have around 14k.

Flop: [Kh] [6s] [7h]. SB is insta all in, 1.8k. UTG calls, so do I.
Turn: [5s]. UTG is all in for 2k, I call.

Big pot.

SB: [Ks] [8c]. Top pair, with an open ender.
UTG: [Kc] [Qs]. Top pair, best kicker. Leading atm.
Me: [Kd] [Jd] Top pair, poor kicker.

River: [Jh].

Whoa. I take it ALL. Now sitting on about 27k, and just KO'd two players.

Making the cash

We're now 6 handed (cash!) - I am the dominant chip leader. Everyone eles is SS and as expected, there is a flurry of all ins. We're soon down to 4 players, blinds 600/1200, and I have 42k. 2nd has 10k. Still kicking ass.

88, here we go, something worth playing. First hand I've had in a while. I 3x it, 4.8k, from UTG. All in from no 1 for 13k... folded to me. I call. 88 vs QQ. He holds. Now Mr QQ has the (slender) chip lead. I'm in another tourny so I miss the next hand, but suddenly we're 3 handed. All even stacks.

I get 98o in the BB. UTG folds, SB 3x it. Its 3200 for me to call, from my stack of 22k or so... I figure I can see a flop. I call.

Flop: [10c] [Js] [x]. He bets... I raise. He pushes. I am now committed, so I call.

He shows [Ks] [5c]. Air. I now have more outs, any 9, 8, 7 or a Q will win me the hand.

River: [Qh]. Yeah! I take the lead in heads up.

Heads Up

Payouts:
1st - $85.50.
2nd - $56.50.

So a bit of a difference there. My heads up opponent is Mr QQ, who obliterated my 8s earlier. He has been playing pretty solid, not a lot of raising. We play the normal heads up game for a while with nothing huge happening. Blinds get higher... now at 1500/3000 and I call his min raise from the BB a few times, with rag cards... and have to fold on the flop when I miss.

He now has a big lead, 41k to my 17k. Blinds now 2k/4k. I start pushing, he doesn't call. I steal blinds, grind my way up to 26k. Its topsy turvy all game. I then take the chip lead, min betting on every street with top pair. He calls me down with bottom pair. Back in the game, yes.

Blinds 2k/4k. In a great run of cards, he folds his SB to me, or folds to my raise for about 10 hands. Suddenly, I have the good chip lead. He has 12k at the 2k/4k level. I raise him all in from the SB, he keeps folding.

Eventually, he's in the BB for 4k, with 3.3k behind him. I get K9, raise him all in - he calls with AK.

Flop: [9s] [x] [x]. Yes!
Turn: [x]
River: [Ah].

Nooooo :( But he is still SS, calm down. I push him all in a few hands later... he calls. I don't remember the exact details, but we were both live (I was ahead) and he hit one of his cards on the river to survive. I push him again, him still SS. He calls, I have him dominated. He hits his 3 outer on the turn :(

He starts pushing (finally figured out how to play heads up) and sooner or later he is back in the game, with 28k. I am like.... wtf. I had him on the rails for so long and he kept crawling back. I know I'm a better player than him though, I can win this.

We clash for a bit, before I raise him all in from the SB with [Ah] [6s]. By now he is SS, but not at the need for calling all in... yet. He calls... this could be it! He shows [Qs] [10c]. Huh? He waited all that time for QT?

Board comes J high, I take it with A high. Awesome :) Pretty happy with my cash. Its the biggest cash I've had so far, and puts me in the green on "that site." I've always been a tourny player rather than a cash game player, and this validates my theory that tourny's are awesome and cash games suck :)

Well my Sunday sweating just finished with a #1 in a double stacked, 310 runner MTT with a 3+0.30 buy in.

woohoo!

Big hands were getting AK twice in 3 hands, and flopped two pair both times. One boated to take out a flushing 1 pair - took most of his stack, and the other took out someone who flopped top and bottom pair. I was lucky enough to be up against the only two stacks at the table with stacks near mine, and never really looked back. Gotta love that rush :D
