Let me start this off by saying that I don't consider myself to be superstitious.
I will however admit to having a couple of "Poker Phobias" i.e little things only apply when I'm playing poker and are not things that I would normally pay attention to in everyday life.
I will share them with the Forum and would be interested to know if anyone else shares these particular phobias / frustrations or have ones of their own.
1. I always place the second card dealt to me on TOP of the first prior to looking at my hand.
2. I always place my highest denomination Chips to the LEFT of my stack and always with the highest value chips on the bottom of each stack.
3. I get frustrated when players don't push their chips into the pot after betting has finished and the next card is to be turned.
4. I also get frustrated when the player to the Right of the Dealer takes forever to realise he / she has to CUT the cards and just continues chatting away and not paying attention to the game. ( I have been guilty of that one myself on the odd occasion).

I also do the chip stack thing, 1 denomination per stack, highest from left to right
For my first 2-3 seasons i had a peice of paper I got of the net with what hands to play in what positons on it.
I never looked at it or anything like that ( no cheating I swear)
but it was my lucky charm for a while
A bit like steve waugh's red hanky,
I would not play a game with out it.
Eventually i lost it or it got chucked, my luck didnt seem to change so now i soldier on without it.

Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

My poker phobia is related to Pete. Whenever he's shuffling, there's always a careful eye on him because, at any time, those cards could miraculously come flying up and hit you in the face.
Will dance for your chips!

Re: What are your Poker Phobias ??
So, phobias, as in something we're afraid of? Or idioms and superstitions?
My phobia would be NOT getting tackled by Ondie at some point during a game
Poker idioms ... Always the same card protector, and cutting my hole cards a couple of times.

If I have a pair, I'll put a $100 chip on my cards.
If I have suited connectors, I'll use 2x$25
If I'm gonna bluff, I'll use a $500
