Adelaide United in the Asian Champions League

Postby maccatak11 » Wed Sep 17, 2008 10:06 pm

A brilliant result tonight for adelaide united against Kashima antlers.

WE SCORED TWO GOALS!!!

Its just a shame they both weren't for our team. Thats right folks, we were 1 nil up due to a great header by Travis Dodd, but the antlers equalised through a calamatous OWN GOAL by the brilliant bozo robbie cornflakes.

Still a top result though. A draw in Japan in the first leg against the team leading the J-League is still bloody awesome.

We head home to hindmarsh next wednesday night knowing that a win OR a 0-0 draw is good enough for us (because of the away goal we scored).

C'MON UNITED!!!
Riskers gamble, experts calculate.

They can be seriously funny and entertaining - when I'm at work during the summer and the cricket either isn't on TV or I just can't get to the pub, the cricinfo commentary is brilliant.

Very decent result for Adelaide.

Cornflake will be spewing at himself but let's not forget he set up Dodd for the first goal.

Scoring goals away from home is soooo important in Champions League matches and it can certainly add that bit extra to the return match.

I rate the away goals rule and also 3 points for the win as probably the best things to be brought into the sport.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
