Sorry that was the first spike.

The second spike was me holding pocket 7's against pocket 10's.

Flopped full house. I had called his preflop raise, and then got lucky. Big time.

I must be doing something wrong.

I downloaded PT3 last night, but I can't seem to get it to work.

*EDIT* - I have to register it, don't I??

I started on a new site too, made my deposit, and made a $4 profit in 25 minutes on 10/20c tables.

Flopped a boat once, but got no value. Turn made quads.

the HUD is awesome in poker tracker

i find that sometimes i read too much into betting history and not enough on my read when i have the hud going. i.e sometimes a player gets an awesome run of cards early, and so the stats are like 50/30 or something, but really they are a 25/10 player that just got a good run of cards - this then skews their stats for a long time before they normalise.

so i would say that the HUD is good, but the good ole gut feeling is better.

having said this though, i was using it in tourneys where it is a lot less useful. cash games are definitely what pokertracker was designed for

Which site are you using it on Bacon?

On the first tab screen, once you have chosen the site, make certain to check that auto import is running.

Also make certain that you are saving your hand histories to the hard drive as well.

Some sites don't do this automatically.

Can't exactly complain with flopping a boat though :)

Can't wait to see the overalls after a much greater number of hands. I'm thinking I should go to the effort of getting this overlay and trying to fix the many places where my game could be improved.

downloaded poker tracker last night
had a bit of a play with it and got a feel for it

tonight invested 1 skittle in a 90 person double stack sit and go
i thought this would be a good oppurtunity to play for an extended period and test my self and learn the pokertrackers ins and outs abit

walked out 245 hands later (over 3 hrs) in 3rd
netting a whopping 9 skittles
probably should of won as was leader for the best part of the last hour
but got my trips smashed by a full house when we went 3 handed and couldnt recover
( not a bad beat and not a whinge)

Of note for me was the poker tracker, it had some great information for use including the number of times players had folded blinds to raises etc
which i used against 1 or 2 players to great effect, a stratergy new to my game, as i havent the memory for that detail.

I still have a fair bit more to learn about its ins and outs though

overall a great start for my relationship with net poker and the stats keeper
Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

I should point out that Pokertracker is not geared towards tournament play - it is primarily for cash games.

Love the new avatar, Krunchie :D

It can be used for tournaments to see just what range of hands you are playing. And which hands you might be overplaying E.g. AQ in early position, 2 7 from the small blind etc

i cant coment on pokertracker in cash games as i havent used it yet

but i did find it more than usefull in the longer tournament situation

over the course of more than 200 hands i did play a few players for quite a lot, one guy was involved in over 180 hands that i was at.

the poker tracker kept all his cards played and from what positon he played them as well as the agresion factor at each new card

as i said in my earlier post it also keeps a record of how much your aponent folds his blinds, this information i used to target specific players and steal their blinds more often than i would of tried without the info
this became a valuble weapon later in the games especially when a blind steal was worth 10k

Brett is right though its main use is tracking your self and i have already got over 300 hands of my own decison making on file (will need heaps more of couse to be acurate) but allready i can see that i have made heaps of money of cards like aa,kk,qq,ak and a few others and lost a heap of of cards like kj,qj and a9 so i have already made a note to play these hands less or only from a stronger postion

and thanks scott i hoped sombody might like the avatar
