Definately Pooraka on Tuesday

Have tried the Old Spot on a Thursday and would give it a miss

Watching this with interest as we too could be looking for a Thursday venue

A little birdie tells me that Moose might be the TD at the Bremen on thursdays? If that's not the case, tell ondie he's a bit silly :)

Actually, tell him that anyway lol

As far as the recommendations go, definitely Pooraka (or the Palais) on a tuesday. The Gully is a very nice place......

Bremen is also decent for a thursday, I'll be there myself as it turns out.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Only been to the settlers and the Bremen on a Thursday... and out of those two, I'd go the Bremen for sure. Nice function room where there poker tables are set up and drink service and the TD isn't a bad sort. Seems to be balding a little this season, but not a bad sort

Tuesday... I've played at pooraka FC (once) and the gully several but I quite liked the Pooraka FC in the game that I did play. Plenty of people also praise the management there and the way they look after the players so it really can't be all that bad.

I'd go both of them but I haven't been to many of the others. Perhaps swing by the venue's thread and have a read through some of the reviews... and check out some of the shots that some of us have grabbed if they're available.
Will dance for your chips!

try the kingsford in gawler for the thursday. they get around 50-60 runners, and they fully stamp your cards for a single drink.

(having said that, i have been donkeyed just about every time i have played there)

Yes....it's true. Moose will be doing the Bremen. Compliment him on his hair for me please. I shall be doing the Queens Arms in the city and then on to the Strathmore.

I can only confirm the other posts, as all the venues do have something unique to bring to NPL.

But I would draw your attention to a new venue in season 3, the Cavan Hotel on Port Wakefield Road.

You get a fairly decent TD (too modest I think), a pretty great TD actually.

It is a new venue and you will be hard to find a nicer establishment, staff and beer garden all at the one venue!! - Check out NPL venues.

See you there.

I hear that the game on the 17 is going to have a cash bounty as well.

Shannon
