Re: Countdown to State Finals
i haven't made it in the last few seasons, so looking forward to playing again.
this has probably been discussed somewhere, but what is the structure like now? it says 20 min levels on the NPL site, and i know antes are introduced at some stage.
does anyone have any information on the levels in play?

More than likely, they'll be the same or near enough to as last finals.
Oh wait, you weren't there .....

From memory, the antes were introduced at the start of level 3, although it could have been level 4.

Re: Countdown to State Finals
I dont think i will make it this season even though I qualified (somehow!!)
Its just to bloody difficult, 2 hr down to adelaide, then play, and if i do happen to survive a while gauranteed late night with the prospect of a 2hr trip back, could take the day off and stay down but that isnt that easy either, cost, time, away from family ( the wife doesnt realy like poker)
I realy wish i made it last season, cause we have a shack down at aldinga, i was planning on taking a few days off around the final to make the trip worthwile, and take the family down, instead i finished 6th
oh well

Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Re: Countdown to State Finals
Pretty disappointed to see a 2500 starting stack - normal NPL games give you 4000. This is State finals, NPL's prestigious event... I realise we don't want staff there all day... but damn, 2500... ugh.
Other leagues give their state finalists a bigger stack (or so I've heard).

Re: Countdown to State Finals
I got this email yesterday stating:
Starting Stack: 3000 chips
Blinds: 20 minutes for all blind levels
Not sure where you got 2,500 from.

Re: Countdown to State Finals
The 4k quoted isn't exactly a starting stack in a regular game either.
3k should be plenty, or should they introduce the redemption of stamp cards just for you AK?

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
