well my visit to the big smoke is over, i will be back home by 9 tonight.

Sky City was a blowout for me, seeing very little action and my pocket [qh] [qd] cost me bigtime again you would think i'd lay off them by now.

Anyway last hand before 1st break i have pocket 6's and i'm seriously short stacked I push all in and everyone folds except one, after streaching the time bank to the limit he calls and shows [ah] [qh], I it a 6 on the flop to give me trips, he hits 2 hearts and the turn is another heart, he hits his flush, i have plenty of outs to win but none hit, i'm a gonner.

As i left Scotty was starting in a $150 bounty game in the poker zone.

It was great to meet a number of the forum rats.

Gundog rates the city venues he has played

Paradise Hotel top spot do's everything right
Parafield Gardens CC Number make it good
Kentish Arms quaint venue good meals
Pooraka Footy Club unlucky not to be top spot
Royal Torrensville quality players
Para Hills CC great venue good numbers
Red Square different but has some erratic players
Arkabah noisy and loud.
Strath I didn't realy concentrate on the morning of my visit
Woolshead just the attitude top bar staff, crazy players who will bet on anything.

Was nice to meet you on your city tour there Gundog. Apolgies for not even seeing your 3rd place but I ended up pretty distracted. Actually can't remember a great deal of the evening but Friday nights at Paradise are always good fun with the crowd that rocks up.
