Personally I am really interested in getting feedback on the way I play.
BUT, lets be honest:
TD's really dont have the time to sit, hold your hand and critique every bit of your game.
Other players have some degree on telling you what they want you to know, rather than every bit of your game.
SO
My question is, where does someone go to get an idea on how to improve their game, without it costing your arm and leg?
I would appreciate any help on this.
Thankyou

Re: Feedback on playing ability
you know where the best source of immediate advice is? your friends that you play with regularly.
i regularly post hand scenarios on this forum not because i wanna whinge about getting a bad beat (well sometimes this is untrue), but mostly because i wanna get people's opinions on how they would have played the hand in that situation.
by getting people's opinions, hopefully the next time i am in the same situation, i might play it a little differently.
playing online poker is also good, because you play so many hands, it is generally easier to work out where in your game the weaknesses are.

Re: Feedback on playing ability
On top of what benny the cunt says, you need to have a stats keeper for your online play. Cos otherwise you can't see where you are leaking chips or playing hands well.
You might find that you overplay K10, or underplay JJ.
I know that lately I've been playing 10 7 too much, cos in my mind I like that hand. But I'm not raising with it, I'm flat calling and missing boards. So leaking chips. Whereas, if I raised, and got people to fold 2/5 times, I might be getting even money for the calls were I am having to fold.

As if benny the cunt needs feedback on how he plays - he plays every hand perfectly.

Last night:
Blinds 100/200. I limp from the SB, after two others do. You're in the BB, make it 600. Folds around to me, I call.
Flop:

I push all in for 800. You fold.
I had 9 high.

Re: Feedback on playing ability
There's no point asking anyone for detailed feedback unless they've actually seen pretty much every hand you've played for that game.
Live is SO different to online, particularly so for online play money.
Because of that, any stats tracker is only going to tell you so much and will likely have much more benefit for your online game than your live game.
For example: There's no stat for "you looked like you needed a change of underwear when you saw that ace come out". So what the hell good is an online stats tracker going to do to fix that particular problem?
You'll need to be more specific Cazz - try suggesting where you think you are suffering and then maybe we can try suggesting things to help you with that specifically.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

There's not much difference between winning, and not losing.
