International Poker on ESPN

Postby BigPete33 » Thu Jul 17, 2008 12:43 pm

Anybody watch this?

I caught it for the first time the other night, didn't mind it at all.

I very much like the concept and it reminded me of the teams event where everyone was going nuts cheering on their team.

About the closest thing we could organise (at this stage anyway) would be a 'Region of Origin' where we'd have NE vs the rest, cos they all suck (muahaha)

Thoughts?
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Yeah Pete, im watching it currently also. Its not bad, a few of the big name european players playing - especially the english dudes.

But yeah its a good concept, bring on another teams event - i missed the last one but would love to play in the next one.

I finally got to see devil fish not copping a bad beat and giving his opponent a spray! He made some fantastic plays too, even when he laid it down against the magician but still let him know he thought that he had rubbish... got under his skin nicely too :)

Seeing Clonie Gowan get subbed so early looked ridiculous to me, she got to play about 3 hands and she did well on all of them.

And yep, you really did miss out on the teams event macca, it was heaps of fun! Seriously can't wait for the next one.

They change what poker program they use for "International Poker." A month ago it was Celebrity Joker Poker which wasn't that good. The Poker Nations Cup is fun, along with some of the other six-handed tourney's too.
We've how about links I would like to know I walk the line scrunches line at how the client Lawrence etc. etc.

We'd just win man, there's no point even holding it. We produced the Berri winner, remember.

It sounds like a great idea, don't ask me what the format could/should be though....

Maybe if we all asked nicely the NPL could cook up something along those lines.

I'll start a poll in the 'Your NPL' section to gauge interest.
