Chris Klodnicki Eliminated in 12th Place ($591,869)

Dennis Phillips limped in from early position, Scott Montgomery raised to 600,000, Chris Klodnicki called from the big blind and Phillips folded. The flop was {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}. Klodnicki checked, Montgomery bet 1,000,000, Klodnicki moved all in and Montgomery called.

Klodnicki {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}

Montgomery {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs}

Klodnicki's fans started screaming at the top of their lungs for a diamond.

"One f*ckin' time!" shouted a young man with a beer in his hand.

The turn was the {J-Spades} , leaving Klodnicki with a single out-- the king of diamonds. The river, though was the {4-Diamonds} and Klodnicki was eliminated in 12th place, earning $591,869.

Bastard! :P

Top Ten - Here We Come

With a $9,119,517 first prize, the winner of this event will instantly find themselves in the top 10 on the all-time money list. There are few players however, with a win in November, that will find themselves even higher on that list.

Dean Hamrick, should he win the title, would wind up ninth on the all-time money list, whereas Kelly Kim, Scott Montgomery, and Ylon Schwartz would each squeeze into the #8 spot on the all-time money list.

David "Chino" Rheem, having already earned $706,494 in his career, would catapult himself into the #7 spot should he be crowned the world champion in November.

Updated Chip Counts

Dennis Phillips 23,100,000
David "Chino" Rheem 14,000,000
Peter Eastgate 13,540,000
Ylon Schwartz 13,500,000
Ivan Demidov 13,100,000
Scott Montgomery 12,800,000
Joe Bishop 12,400,000
Dean Hamrick 12,300,000
Craig Marquis 9,700,000
Darus Suharto 7,400,000
Kelly Kim 4,900,000

Player Profile: Craig Marquis

Craig Marquis is, on paper, the least experienced player remaining. He's been playing for just a year and a half and stopped short of calling himself a professional player.

The 23 year-old student is from Arlington, Texas and bought into the tournament for the full entry price of $10,000. Marquis is most proud of "grinding his way up the limits" and plays guitar and pool in his free time.

If you spot Craig at the table with the headphones on, there's a good chance he's listening to Third Eye Blind, or any other 90's alternative rock band. Should he win the main event, he plans on buying his sisters and mother a pool.

14.7 Million Pot Builds Between Phillips and Hamrick, Ends in a Chop

Dennis Phillips limped in on the button, Scott Montgomery completed the small blind and Dean Hamrick checked his option.

The flop was [10h] [2c] [2s]. Montgomery checked, Hamrick bet 425,000, Phillips raised to 1.2 million, Montgomery got out of the way, and Hamrick three-bet to 2.65 million. Phillips made the call.

The turn was the [9d] . Hamrick bet 3,000,000 and Phillips called.

The river was the [3d]. Hamrick checked and Phillips checked behind.

Hamrick showed [10s] [4h] , Phillips showed [10c] [8d] and they split the 14.7 million chip pot.

Ivan Demidov Survives and Doubles Through Chino Rheem

From the cutoff Ivan Demidov raised to 650,000 and Chino Rheem reraised to 2 million from the small blind. Demidov tanked for several minutes before announcing he was all in. And after thinking it over for a bit Rheem called as well.

And his {10-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} were better than Demidov's {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs}. As the fans ducked under the rails and pushed close for a better look the dealer spread the flop-- {10-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {6-Hearts}. Rheem flopped a set, but Demidov now had a flush draw.

A draw that hit when the {4-Hearts} came on the turn. Now there were calls of "pair the board!!" from the crowd, and with scores of people jamming the stage the dealer flipped over the {5-Hearts} on the river. Demidov got out of his chair to accept the congratulations of his friends and Rheem bolted out of his seat and walked out of the Amazon Room. He's now down to 8.4 million, while Ivan is now up to 18.7 million.
