If someone has pushed allin preflop and you are still to act with AA, instacall. No way are you behind and if you lose that's just too bad.

If it's you with AA and acting early, raise. Should you get re-raised then you're mental for not chucking in an absolute monster re-raise yourself. All going well you won't even need to see a flop (because they might just click that you have aces) and you'll still have made enough to say it was worth it.

If they call with a pocket pair they're about 8:1 to get a set (Scott can help with accuracy of that) but so are you.

If they call without a pair (let's say something like AK) then they are looking for more than one K (only 3 left at best) as their ace is practically useless and they're also praying for a straight or a flush.

I wouldn't have any problem getting all my chips in preflop.

Besides, if I'm out early there's more beer for me!
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

In my opinion i would be calling first hand with AA if someone has pushed preflop. If they out draw you that is just poker and i would cop it sweet because i know i will win a large % of the time.

My prediction will be someone is eliminated within the first blind level, :) because there will be someone who cant resist going all in early in nearly all events.

7.71:1, so 8:1 is close enough. (That is the odds of flopping a set, btw)

THIS link is a good way for you to play around with those sorts of scenarios, to get a feel for just how good/bad certain draws are; and just how much the odds are for or against you when chasing certain draws.

Ok so we're all pretty set on calling preflop with AA, providing there's no more than 3 runners.

How about:

A) KK, to call would be heads up.
B) QQ, to call would be heads up.
C) You're in the SB with JJ. Folded around to you, you raise, he raises, etc... he's eventually all in.

I'm insta calling on KK, possibly folding QQ and definitely folding JJ - too early.

My prediction is that someone will be out within the first 5 hands. Is first out getting a prize, by the way? I reckon if there's someone out first hand, they should get $100 or something.

Edit: Interesting question. Has anyone ever seen anyone fold AA preflop?

Scott has the rare ability to correctly fold monsters although I don't think he'd fold AA early in a tourney.

Bruce is probably the only one who would fold AA preflop at any given stage of a tourney :P

I'm raising/calling with it everytime, early/mid/bubble/whenever.
