In either case, I couldn't agree with it, as when the work has been done to bust an opponent down to (say) $300 in chips and have them crippled, you don't want to have them chipped up and back in the game!
The passport draws are different, coz that is just a lucky dip, but I hope NPL doesn't go with charity chip ups.
Hi there STUDMAN. I am talking about the passport system as well as the new system to be introduced. Maybe I didn't write it properly so I'll try again.
New system using flight cards while still playingWe trialled the new system for season three (3) last Thursday. We had one white card worth $1k and one coloured card worth $2k if you didn't use it before the first break. If you used the coloured card before the first break it was only worth $1k.
If you still had both you got chipped up $3k. If only the coloured one was left and you still had chips it was worth a $2k chip up.
The other queerie was regarding being chipped up if you were knocked out or if you were short stacked and name called out. At present if you were knocked out of the tourney and your name was called out you would be reseated and chipped up to say $2,000..
Currently, if your at the table short stacked or not and your name gets called out you get nothing.
So, my queerie was, if a player
is at the table and
is short stacked and their name gets called out.
Why, can't their stack be increased to the same level as a player who was knocked out.
For example. Player knocked out gets called back in and receives $2,000.
Player at the table has $300 and their name is called out should get $1,700 for a total of $2,000.
How fair would it be with the current sytem if the player who got knocked out is now sitting on the same table as the person with $300????
And to rub salt into their wounds their name was also called out but received nothing because he/she was still at the table.
There was a Post with a voting section on here and I think it was by ALK. The voting was a mojority in favour of chipping up if your name was called and you had less than the call back value.
I highlighted in red
"In either case, I couldn't agree with it" then why do you agree with having someone who lost and was out of the game back in???
Daves reply is what I'm refering too plus the new system made me play tighter once I lost my first chip stack and had to get another $1,000 with the first card.
You'll see what I mean when you play the new season, good luck all.
