Because we need a balanced field with almost the same amount of qualifiers playing in each flight.

Unfortunately to truly balance it I would be required to put regional areas into flight one, and I would rather see BG players up at 6am and traveling than people from Midnorth or Riverland up at 3am or something stupid.

personally i think it sux. Only reason i went for top 50 was they had second flight at ttg . what ever you do keep it consistant,

Hi garth, can you elaborate more on your comment last night about the CBD region's involvement in the 1st flight and the possible change? Have you been able to arrange 2 venue system??? That would be great!

introducing an ante is a great idea garth, we should try it at the higher blind levels in normal npl games

I have no revised the flight systems.
These will be the new flights:

FLIGHT 1: All qualifiers will be from the Fleurieu Peninsula Hills, Metro South, Metro South West, CBD, Metro East and Metro NW regions.

FLIGHT 2: All qualifiers will be from Eyre, Barossa Gawler, Riverland, Mid North, Metro North East, Yorke and the South East regions. The State Top 50 will also be included in this flight.

PLEASE NOTE: Changing of flights will not be permitted.


FLIGHT 1: Registration commences at 9.00am and will be completed by 10.30am. All players must be registered by 10.30am to play in the tournament. Tournament will start at 11.00am sharp. Flight 1 will cease playing at 3.00pm.
Players will only be registered with photo ID. No ID – no play.

FLIGHT 2: Registration commences at 1.30pm and will be completed by 3.00pm. All players must be registered by 3.00pm to play in the tournament. Tournament will start at 3.30pm sharp. Flight 2 will cease playing at 7.30pm.
Players will only be registered with photo ID. No ID – no play.

RECOMBINE: All players who progress to the combine stage will need to be at the venue by 8.00pm, seating will commence at 8.30pm and play will commence just slightly after 8.45pm. Play will not cease until a winner is declared.

Chips at the end of each flight will be totalled and bagged by tournament staff. The remaining players from both flights will then recombine, with chip totals carried over, to form the final stages of the tournament, seating arrangements will be redrawn and play will continue until a winner is declared.

We have 800 qualifiers for this event so it is quite difficult to try and balance the fields, hope this is satisfactory.

Hmm, well that's interesting. Probably help out the B&G players a bit more - we don't have to get up so early, and we don't have that massive 4 hour break again, so there'll be less "pushing" to get a big stack.

several other top 30 thirty finalists from previous seasons SF's may now change their minds and participate as discussions with several top five qualifiers I spoke to in round ten had said ' why bother ' go all that way ... I'd rather play the B&G Regionals instead.

Hi Garth,

I have to work on the Sunday of the state finals and am in the first flight. I have done everything to try and get out of it but can't. If I can find someone to swap flights is it possible to do this?

If so, ANYONE ABLE TO SWAP????
