Sorry Luke, I missed the initial discussion and think that if I want to have something to say about the whole thing, I will.

I think you should re read the posts again Shannon.

As a general response post to a situation it is fine.
But in regards to this particular scenario you are way off the mark.

I suggest that you read my post in particular as to why Paul was warned and then removed from the tournament. I had no problem with what Paul has posted on here in recent times, he is allowed to express his opinion in any manner he see fits.

Whether it be negative or positive, Paul even went back and re edited his posts after he received some backlash for the way he expressed them, I was not one of these people as many people have the same opinions as Paul, and I respect that.

The point you are missing is that in the majority of Northern venues Paul is somewhat of a NPL community icon. And as such he is almost a role model, this been the case we expect him (and those like him) to represent and portray the best characteristics of a member of the NPL community.

Why?

Just because he is a popular player, that doen't mean that he has to embody all that NPL represents, surely?

We ALL have to follow the rules when we play. If we don't then there are consequences that are expected.

If I want to keep going, I will.

I will not shut-up and play happy. Do you REALLY want me to say why I believe that Cougar received the ban, which is in large due to his forum contributions?

As they say in BB - I DON'T THINK SO, but if pushed to do so I will.

You know, I took my medicine and I wasn't even bloody sick (yes another metaphor if you please). I enjoy playing poker - even the suck outs and bad beats, I will take them every time because I was in front and that's poker, and that is why I play.

I read the posts Garth, and I appreciate what you are saying, but I will have my say too and I will express my thoughts and opinions as I see fit.
