Re: How to play premium hands UTG
It's one of the very few times I'd try a min-raise, but even then I'd still probably stick with my standard early-mid position raise amount.
Just calling would be ok if you know the table is playing very tight and if you know the players on it are aware that you are putting your chips in despite being in such a horrible early position.
If you are short stacked and you elect to just call (even on a tight table) in the hopes of slow playing and milking more chips, don't be upset if you get burned and find yourself out of the tourney. It's a calculated risk in that situation, but it's still a fairly big risk.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Biggest lesson I learnt from slow playing big pockets is we keep calling instead of betting and we usually get smashed by the limper.

Re: How to play premium hands UTG
Depends on the Table.
For example, if your UTG with AA on an Aggressive table then perhaps limp or minimum raise. If your sure you will see action to re-open the betting let a big stack have a stab before you pump it for maximum value.
On a tighter table i would go three times the big blind for an early position raise and four times the big blind for a later position raise. Either way you look at it, there is no standard play for UTG, it is a very interesting position.
Generally (my game) i like to limp or minimum raise from the UTG position. I like to generate value with sneaky hand like suited connectors.

How to play them? Depends on whether or you're sitting a little to the left of your chair or right. Even then, you have to think about how you've brushed your hair, and if you haven't... there could be tears.
Will dance for your chips!
