especially if you get there a bit late, and you only get a seat next to the table legs. squashy and uncomfortable.

Next question. In venues i have been at, sometimes chairs are placed directly behind a cup holder meaning that a persons hands are either side of their drink when dealing, stacking chips etc.

other places i have been to place chairs between cup holders meaning that a persons drink goes either to the left or the right of them (this way really annoys me by the way, but i know other people prefer it)

what do other people prefer? and is there a way that is supposed to be set up?

I would prefer my drink is to my left.

Having my glass/bottle directly in front of me hinders me looking at my cards easily.

I really like the round tables with the inbuilt cup holders on the felt, but still would like to sit to the right of my beverage hole.

the problem with having the drink holders off to one side, is that its very easy for the drinks to be knocked over when dealing.

seen this many a time :D

either suits me, but the new tables with the drink holders in the table and not on the arm rest annoy me when the table is set up with the drink holder in front of the player is should be either left or right no center,

I've had this discussion many times :)

I much prefer the chair to be in line with the cup holder as this makes it very easy to reach around the drink for dealing etc (spesh on the 8 seater tables).

For the tables that have the drink holder further in towards the middle of the table, I REALLY don't like that. It's just plain in the way. What I do like about those particular tables though is that the cup holder is deeper.

So for me, a deeper cup holder around the edge of the table would be ideal.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

How do we go from a great thread ("NPL needs an overhaul") to discussion on where you would like your seats located at a table?

I love the NPL player base!! It will never be a boring day with you guys around! ;)

we are all intelligent people, capable of meaningful conversation on a wide range of topics :D

personally, i like my home table. :D :D :D

i haven't seen any tables with cup holders in the felt rather than in the arm rest, but i reckon that the table might feel a little small

But your table doesn't have cup holders benny the cunt. :(

I prefer drinks to the left side also- more out of the way when dealing.

Only used the cup holders in the felt at state finals though- liked that they were deeper.
