I agree with you again JJ
There are a handfull of players i know personally whom don't take the gam very seriesly becuase of such second chances like re-draws and Bad Beat Tables but rest assured only one -three players are lucky enough to win bad beats and only two players in the second draw get to come back in.
So lets look at in via the numbers.
Tournaments with less the 60
1 bad beat, no second draw = one Lucky winner
Tournaments with 60-100
2 bad beats + second draw = 4 out of 60-100
Tournaments with 100+
3 bad beats + second draw = 5 winners
So generally its a tiny fraction of the players and any player that would choose to reply on these bonus would be a very unlikely candidate to make the state finals.
Hope that makes sense!

It does make sense Nathan.
Again like I said I am only new to this and don't understand all the rhymes and reasons behind things.
Having numbers does make a difference.
Thanks Nathan.

My sentiments exactly Pete. But the NPL rules allow call backs and unfortunately if we were able to be called back in we'd take it. It's the same for bad beat tables.
I've been on tables where the punter looks at the clock and says I'm gonna go ALLIN and take a chance on getting called back in and have $2,000 instead of being short stacked.
As far as getting chipped up to $2,000 if you are playing and are short stacked. Again, I agree that you should be made up to the $2,000 at least your on an even playing fiels with someone whose lost.
I have had some really bad beats since I started playing NPL and I'll have a whole lot more in the future. But, I have also been short stacked before and made it to the final table. Mostly through pure luck or some others going ALLIN and losing.
What really irks me is when some people get a second chance via the call back with $2,000 and just waste it on an ALLIN with a crap hand and say "oh well I was about to go home anyway".
ANyway I can't see the problem, if your gonna chip up someone who has lost at least once and has been recalled why not support the punter who's still at the table???????????

Re: How about we change the redraw card system?
Firstly I fully support the redraw system, BUT what Burns me
Is the inconsistance of how many redraw at each break and the make up or percentage of bring backs v chip ups.
In my area its common for a player to come back with 4000 and a number times the have made points and a couple of times won the night.
However you must feel for the grafter who has worked hard all night to remain in only to be short stacked by bring back, perhaps the bring back should be given a stack equal to the lowest stack on the table he/she joins.

42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot.

The redraw can only land with $2,000 maximum when re seated.
All area's should be following the same protocols.
This is one of the area's I was talking about, benny the cunt, in the other post.
Regions and staff doing their own thing and really hurting the professionalism of this league and fellow staff members who do do the correct thing.
What region gundog?
From the top of my head I do believe you are a riverland player?

i also play in the riverland with gundog, and can back up his comments about inconsistencies with other regions. However, over the 2 seasons that i have played in the riverland there has been major improvements in my opinion, and it is catching up with the B&G which is where i used to play.

Re: How about we change the redraw card system?
but when you still have 32 players in at the second break after only 44 starting and having 2 'draw winners' come in after the next 2 players go out with 4000 in chips is a bit much isn't it?? this is on top of a 10 player bad beat table and 6 draws at the first break... it's not poker up here, it is more like bingo!!
I respect the poker gods, I think that's why they are nice to me!!!

Any word from the NPL heads that this will be brought into any future games? It has happened a few times - as evidenced in this thread.
