Big Brother does suck.

I didn't exactly ask that Des, I asked why you should be biased towards NPL. I'd want moderators that were above all, honest in their opinions and evaluations towards NPL. Like Pete said, you guys don't work for them, so you shouldn't feel the need to be biased towards them.

1. 2000 starting stack, i'd even be happy with 1500
2 passports each 1000 chips

2. 20 minute blind levels up to 500/1000 where they are then dropped to 15 minutes.

OR....

Keep the chips at 1000, 2 passports but have blinds at 20 minutes until 500/1000 which they then drop to 15 minutes.

Its not much, an extra 500 chips can go along way, you may get more people around to 2nd break but people may spend more too in that time.

If NPL is so scared of attracting old Mc'Donalds farmyard animals keep the less chips, just increase blinds so people can have a decent go.

The thinking about deeper stacks works both ways.

Loose players with more chips - ok

but what happens when you are short stacked and blinds are increasing, you cant wait any longer for premium hands, forcing you to push 67 and by luck catch a break. Same thing applies

Well first two are already 20, 3rd two are 15 minutes. So you are just asking for an extra 15 minutes, and you think that'll improve your chances.

I wonder how many NPL final tables you've made :?:

I'm very honest in my opinions mate... sometimes too honest, hence the arguments we have here.

If I didn't like something, then I'd definately speak up about it.

Maybe sometimes I'm too passionate, i dunno. Anyway, I've had my say, time for some others to throw down opinions.

Bacon - i think you should check with Garth to see how many final tables i've made, i'm sure he'd be happy to tell you.
If i was an average player do you really think i'd bother with NPL and try and make it better, and post like i have.
Like many have said there are other leagues out there.

This is what the whole thing was about, making it a more enjoyable NPL experience.

And yes all it takes is 500 chips more and an extra blind time.

ok here's a POLL:

1. How many NPL players would like to see 500 extra initial chips?

2. How many people want at least 20 and 15 minute blinds?

How many more people would you get to NPL if that happened??

Why not experiment for a season and see what happens.

I guess that's why I asked you; better to hear from the horses mouth, than a third party.

Yes, I do believe that some average players would want things changed because they can't compete at the current level, so they want something to make it easier for them. I'm not saying you are doing this, but it does happen eg The F1's changed their rules cos of the dominance of one team.

Didn't we have 1500 starting chips in Season 1 & 2 2007? When you could cash your passport for 500 at any time? I prefer the 1000 re-buy option a lot better.

I started playing NPL because I enjoy poker. I continue to play because I love poker. Starting stack doesn't factor into my decision; all the things I've heard about other leagues is why I don't play with them. I could try it myself and not go on the word of others, but if you are onto a good thing, stick with it.

Disclosure: I haven't won a tourney in 2 seasons; qualified for States once.

Free Poker?? I think not. He also told me he wouldn't be returning to the Others as he felt it fell short of NPL standards in several other ways as well. I dont like it when our players switch to the dark side, but it seems they always come back more appreciative of what we offer at NPL.

I saw the same thing happen at an NPL tournament in QLD...
