I think only about 3 People out of 40-odd at the Kinga last night had picked W Coast (assuming AK picked his own team), they got a bit vocal in the 3rd qtr, but quietened down after that.

I only found out during the telecast that Carlton had only won 1 of its previous 31 games outside of Victoria!

But going on form alone this year Carlton has shown promise, wheras West Coast, with all its player losses has not been anywhere near the side it has for the previous 3 years.

To be honest that was the reason I said "against all odds"

I do agree that West Coast is very much the depleted side but I really believe that Carlton has ALONGGGGGG way to go before it is even close to the potential it has.

I think there is so many positives in Carlton but there are also a few negatives that really bring what can be a great side to an average side.

I did, but even if I hadn't picked WCE I'd still be going for them like I was last night.

Sigh... when we playing Melbourne?

You'll have to wait until Saturday 16th of August (rd20) before you break out the Party Poppers AK.
West Coast v Melbourne at the Mcg.
I reckon you're half a chance against Essendon at the Dome and Richmond at Subiaco before then though.

How is that funny? You're talking about the death of a club legend (for Melb, or WCE, I can't tell) uniting the team to win a football match, of all things.

Ughh!!!
I am NOT making light about the death of anyone ever!!!!!!

I am talking about the irony behind that happening and yes I DO find that funny. I do not appologise for finding humour in IRONY!

Meaning that currently the one team that everyone finds a soft and easy game to win is against Melbourne. Is that not right????

Have you ever noticed that every single time someone that means something to a club either retires, hits a certain game level or a beloved member of their club dies, they alway (and I mean always) lift their level of the game.

So the joke is the irony being that the one week that any team on a down slope plays them, they will lift for whatever reason.

Surely you don't think I would assume for one moment the death of ANY person is something to rejoice and be happy and giggly about.

Because you could NOT be more wrong!!!!!!!!!
