If he has AA, so be it. If he has AJ, at least you're giving him the choice of folding to a massive re-raise. If he's any good, he would probably fold that.

Why would be fold trip jacks with highest kicker?

I think Dave is referring to the pre-flop action, Brice.

Yup, preflop.

I have raised with A10, AJ etc ... been presented with a reraise (more than min raise, MY GOD) and folded.

Raising, being re-raised and folding is not a bad thing.

Folding pre-flop is not a bad thing.

Gees, Scott folded JJ twice pre-flop in one night, in NPL!

I think Bacon answered my question the best. Pot committed.

And I just couldn't lay down KK. This is online, play money, you can't believe the stupid plays you see all the time. If I had a guarantee he was going to show his cards after I folded, then I might not have called.

Anyway, I was more happy I finally read someone correctly. And on such a premium hand, too :D

Play money, online ...

Ie, play as silly as you want.

Aaron - I think you really should have re-raised and HARD.

As for folding KK, I did it the other week after I saw a flop that was no higher than about 6. There's probably only one player I'd consider it for though, damn him :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

I smelled a low straight, I wasn't as correct as perhaps I could have been but by the river I was. Chucking in a raise on the flop would have won me the hand... but no way was I raising cos I thought he already had it.
