Oh, come on...

Postby AceLosesKing » Thu Apr 24, 2008 2:47 am

Playing in an online $500 freeroll. 3000 entrants. 71 left. Top 48 get money.

I'm sitting on 38k in chips. The average stack is 44k. Blinds 3000/6000.

I'm sitting in like... no 2 position, I think. I'm dealt pocket Aces. Straightaway I raise it to 12k to see a flop. Two callers, both out chip me (60k and 44k).

Flop: [7s] [jh] [qs]

I'm first to act, I push all in for 24ish k. 60k calls me with [3s] [5s].

River: [9s].

Come the hell on.

66th, if anyone was wondering :(

Were the two callers the SB and BB? I'm gonna take a guess that it was one late position caller, and the BB who completed.

your min raise gave them a biiig sniff too.

It's possible that the player with 3 5 might have folded preflop to a more respectable raise :)

Have you noticed the amount of girls that if they do raise it's a min raise? What's up with that?
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Thinking the same thing with the min raise, Pete. But wanted to get an idea of the pot size pre-flop before dissecting it any further.

i think the only time a min raise is good is when you hold the nuts, and the whole table is still playing, and you are in late position.

a min raise means that everyone will probably still call, and fatten the pot up for a big move on the turn or river.
