Would it perhaps be true to say that NPL is consolidating into a smaller number of venues, but bigger numbers at said venues?

I would have thought that it would make sense that it would follow that pattern - lots of venues try it to see if it works for them, some it does, some it doesn't. As more people are hooked on NPL (fantastic competition that it is :-)) those people have to go *somewhere* and that grows the total player pool.

I'm going to miss my Sunday evenings at s89. That was one venue that was fantastic. Shame the numbers didn't work out.

There are several reasons as to why venues might drop off or be cancelled.
I do believe we have hit a point in this state where we have saturated some regions and therefore need to lose some events.
I think eventually you will see the amount of events balance out to 120 or so statewide, then again I could be wrong.

Studio 89 was cancelled for reasons that have nothing to do with player numbers or strategic planning.

btw garth, i think the balance in the B&G is spot on right now, i hope you agree. poker every night of the week except sat, and also a sunday arvo game.

its the perfect amount of choice for a region like ours, most of the pubs are getting strong numbers (40-75)

now i just gotta qualify at one of these venues....

Interested in great venues and quailty games!

Check out the CBD games. Some of our late night game are nearly hitting a hundred runners! We are on a rush and it is points mania!

Checkmates hit 97
Strath Tuesday hit 76
Woolshed tonight hit 77

Big points in the CBD at the moment and its the best from all over who make up the feild, so if you looking for an extra game to test your self, an extra game for great points, or even an extra game just for the atmosphere check out the many CBD venues!
