Oh, definitely AGREE.

As habit, I tend to do more than just deal. I take control, and let people know what's going on.

If someone bets and it's not overly visible or verbalized, I will say "Bet is $200 ... $200 to call, or raise or fold".

It helps ME know what's going on and also makes the hand go smoother. I think NPL players on a whole should do more when they are the dealer... than just saying "Oh, it's me ... sorry" whenthe flop should come out.

I try to present 'fold' as their first available option (unless they can check)... have seen too many new players just do the first thing that's said because they're unsure how to proceed.

True, but I tend to present the "current action" to the player.

'fold' (or check)
'call'
and 'raise' are their options for every hand so I'd assume that is 'current action'.

Unless you mean 'everyone else has called like a sheep so you may as well do the same'

I'll present the current bet, and then suggest fold, call or raise (in that order)
