A tackle = forcing a turnover.

Just throwing yourself on a guy and he ends up passing it to a teammate = doesn't count.

A tackle = forcing a stop in play or a turnover.
You don't have to win the ball for it to be a tackle.

Then again, you didn't know how Donald Dickie was.

i think its pretty clear actually. we are a definite maybe when it comes to contenders. i think we are in that second bracket of teams along with sydney, essendon, geelong, carlton, st kilda, and probably near the top of that second bracket of teams. hawthorn might be just above the crows, as one of the teams that are slightly behind collingwood and west coast.

collingwood and west coast are a fair way ahead at the moment i think, but if the crows can jag a top 2 spot, which looks likely given their good draw (although a bit less likely after the weekend) i think we have the potential to jag a grand final berth.

much more likely is we finish third or 4th and probably lose in a prelim. i would have to say i would be satisfied as a supporter if we made a prelim, if we go lower than that this year i will be a little disappointed.

glen you are a hawks man yes?

they are kind of interesting at the moment. they seem to be travelling well, but like geelong i think its going to be tough for them to get a top 4 berth.

would really hate for the crows to finish third, lose to west coast in the first final, then have to play hawthorn or geelong in the semi final. that would be scary

I think that Coll, WC & Haw are the only real contenders for the flag (Gee only other possible chance).

I think this year is a stepping stone for Adl to give it a go for the coming years.

Finals is a different ball game and history shows that you need finals experience before you can win one or even make it to the GF.

Nth were on last night and are a better side than they've been showing, so I wouldn't judge where Adl are at on that performance but in the next 3 weeks we'll know whether they're falling away or not.

Hoping Nth go on a run now, as we only have 1 or 2 injuries, equal 8th and play 7 out of the last 10 games at Etihad. GO KANGAS!!!!! :D
