Ever since finding out that Annie Duke was Howard Lederers sister I have been dying to read her book. Again i was so excited to receive it you are a legend. I am sure it will be wonderful to get another woman's perspective on the game and from such a legend of the game (pre fantasy league).

I think she has done enough to deserve respect (although a few questionable things along the way). Did not say she was my favorite poker player but she has succeeded on many levels and her book should be interesting.

Please read it with a grain of salt.

I will and thanks for the heads up. I always try to use my own judgment when reading anything but my favorite thing is seeing situations through someone else's eyes as it quite often gives you a different perspective and understanding.

side note: My favorite female poker player is Annette Oberstadt (not that anyone asked but thought I would add it) Thanks again for the book Gmatical it is greatly appreciated

Should check out Talonchick, female poker pro on stars. Annette also has some questions as well, she can deliver the goods but more about the underage gambling. Which is more of the I wish I was that good at that age.

Have you read Chris Moneymakers story, from the satellite to the WSOP. Also has some of the stories from degenerate college days, 50k on a college football game.

Wow I have to admit I have never heard of her thank you for posting. I have added pass the sugar and the Chris Moneymakers story to my read list they both sound good (although must say I am not a Joe Hachem fan). I have watched Annette play both live and in video's and her ability to "Play like a man" was something I really loved. Her super aggressive approach which makes her look like such a donk is all based on solid poker skills (pot odd, implied odds, position,reads ) and makes the play is extremely profitable. I have not heard much about her since black friday but as she had alligned herself with full tilt just prior to this could be a reason for the low profile. She had been given the option of going to stars or FTP and in the end choose FTP really bagging out stars in the process.

Oh think I have let my poker reading get behind and I cannot believe I did not know this. Thanks benny the cunt for the update. Wow so from FTP to Epic poker league, she may be the queen of poker in my eyes but her choices in promoting herself do need a lot of work.
