Is this official now? It seems the best of both worlds.
Also a chance at a bracelet is so much more tempting than a local championship. (but so is $10,000)

Re: What do you want?
that sounds pretty awesome
it allows people that might not be able to get the time off or really need the cash to still get an awesome prize

From NPL.com.au;
The National Poker League continues to offer the most lucrative state final prizes seen anywhere around the country with $25,000 up for grabs each season in 2008!
The state final is contested 5 times a year at the conclusion of each season and to qualify players must simply finish in the top 5 players on the leader board at any participating venue.
The winner of the state final will walk away with a seat into a WSOP bracelet event with flights and accommodation paid for and $1000 in spending money!
If mixing it with the pros doesn't sound like the opportunity of a lifetime then $10,000 in cash can be taken instead.
NPL increases you chances of finishing in the money with the top 30 players all receiving a payout at the state final.
Make sure you update your contact details with your tournament host as you are notified of qualification via SMS.

Re: What do you want?
if the words WSOP bracelet dont make you go away into your own little dreamworld for a second, then you shouldnt be playing poker. how awesome would that be!
still a tough choice to take the cash or go in the tourney. but i think if its to vegas for the main event, then thats a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Re: What do you want?
I am guessing it isn't the main event since that is a $10,000 entry fee by itself. I am guessing it would be 1 of the smaller buy-in ($3,500 - $5,000) circuit Events. But still, it is a chance at a freakin' WSOP bracelet.

it might be a case of taking the 13000 or something prize package, or 10 grand in cash - they dont have to be equivalent worth
hoping for an official comment on the forum about it

WSOP bracelet? Oh yes. Hell yes.
Still, I'd like some cash... will there be a choice Garth?
