I don't think it is fair to offer $60k to an Apl state that has just been equired by FHG & only give $10k to SA a group that has been there from the start.
How is that fair or just?
Can't you see what your own player base is saying in this thread " & I believe they are speaking for other SA888pl players " In saying that this could = the end of 888pl in SA.

Once again, you don't know the facts and are making assumptions.

You don't listen to a word that is said to you, you are stuck on your opinion.

The bolded bit is one of the ridiculous statements I've ever read. You have a maximum of 10 people discussing this issue in this thread out of several thousand active players in this state and you derive that this could be the end of 888PL in SA? A state you don't even live or play in and are solely gaining your information for the opinions of others?

What if the prizepool stayed steady at 15K? Would a 45K difference be acceptable to you if nothing was lost from the SA prizepool? What is it you expect?

Yeah I hear things from a lot of players in your state.
& you Don't listen to your local players. I think you should do a poll & see what SA players feel about this.
Tim H, & others can see a point to what we are saying here, but you are just being an (_!_) to everyone else's point of view.

for once show that you have compassion for your fellow statesmen, For it is them that keep you in a job.

Yes I would not be involved if it was a fair prize pool through out states

& once again SA would have to be the best Poker league I have ever played.

In short a lot of SA games are buy_in, same as Vic. other states are freeroll but their prize pool is bigger.
So there for they are getting a bigger reward for a lesser price..

are there cash games in NSW?
as I see it cash games @ venues cost FHG nada. The venue has 2 put nothing as the prize. Vic & SA have mostly cash games.

bed time this later. But I will still say what I think is right

Dude, this just shows you know absolutely nothing about the facts of this situation.

666HARPS666 wrote:Vic & SA have mostly cash games.

Are you serious?

SA has between 15%-20% buy-in games. That would make 80%, yes, 80% freerolls. I won't quote the stats for Vic because I don't know.

666HARPS666 wrote:are there cash games in NSW?

Cash games are EVERYWHERE in NSW. Their laws governing gaming are so liberal that they allow basically anything when it comes to cash buy-in games, including taking a rake. It's allowed every man and his dog to offer cash buy-ins in NSW, hence how massive the market is in NSW.

666HARPS666 wrote:as I see it cash games @ venues cost FHG nada. The venue has 2 put nothing as the prize. Vic & SA have mostly cash games.

As you see it is just plain wrong. Considering the venue puts up the prize for freerolls, not FHG. How does FHG running freerolls cost us more than a buy-in game?

Completely incorrect. But don't let that stop you.

Hilarious dude.

Apart from the fact that every FHG contractor just accepted a pay cut.

Once again, making assumptions that shows you have no idea what you are talking about.

666HARPS666 wrote:But I will still say what I think is right

I don't mind people who have an opinion. What I have a real problem with is people who sprout their opinion without knowing ANYTHING about what they are talking about. And then ignore any and all questions regarding their argument only to say "Well it's my opinion."

Harps, at least when I disagree with people I don't discard basic logic and common sense in order to make my case.

You can feel free to reply to this. I don't mind what you say, I have a thick skin. But I will not be continuing with this conversation while you act like you know everything when in actuality, you know nothing about about the facts of how a business that you see purely from an outsiders perspective is currently situated, including things that you yourself have brought up!

And this...

is just silly.

I don't listen to my local players? Well I'm very glad I have someone of your calibre informing me I don't know how to do my job properly.

As for the name calling and such, grow up. Just because I called you out on your ridiculous statement regarding the beginning of the end of 888PL in SA (which is still ridiculous, BTW), there's no need to revert to such juvenile behaviour.

Finally
666HARPS666 wrote:10 people that have proven themselfs to be very good players.

makes no sense BTW. A player's opinion of the league means more if they are a good player?

10 players out of several thousand is still only 10 players. A very small sample. It doesn't make who they are, no conclusions can be drawn from the opinions of such a select group of people.

Apologies for the rant, I am not trying to insult you. When you start insinuating that myself and the people I work for don't know how to do our jobs properly simply because you disagree based on facts and situations purely formulated inside your own head and from the opinions of others, I find that completely unacceptable.

Tim ,

How about bringing back the good ole teams event ,

8 players @ $50-75 each : $4-600/team ,

If advertised throughout 888PL AND APL Venues it surely would generate 20+ teams easily , as it has in the past without APL involved !

(20 x $500 = $10,000)

1st prize : 8 x Main Event tickets

So how bout it ?
