Main Event Ticket Questions
I really hate the idea of not being able to transfer tickets.

Re: Main Event Ticket Questions
My idea (actually, several peoples idea, to be fair) mostly comes from the assumption that FHG will remain firm on no direct buyins and unable to transfer tickets. If that remains the case and if FHG really are immovable on those points then the "option" seems fairest to everyone in my opinion.
If there is eventually some leeway and there are transfers in certain circumstances only then benny the cunt is on track with basically having to "qualify" to receive a transfer.
If it's left as it is FHG may as well change it to NPPL, make sure it's in the front bar of every venue (while making sure the venue is only ever a pub), make it the more you drink the more chips you get, lose any integrity they still retain, and just stop expecting the players to care anymore because incentive is out the window. Who the heck would want to even show up unless it's just a few drinks with mates over someone elses poker table?

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: Main Event Ticket Questions
I have mixed feelings on this topic. In general I agree with FHG policy on this one how ever, based on the structure of the system in place to win said tickets, I believe these rules aren't that great.
I against DBI and transfers (with a few very specific exceptions) because I agree with the values/intentions these rules were made with. I am only against DBI because I believe that it should all be about winning a ticket and you need to play to get one. The only exception I believe is essential for transferring is that if a player cannot attend they may sell there ticket back to FHG at maybe 80% value of something but again that's debatable.
When I say I am against it, only because I think it should be the goal of every player to get into the game and league and go for it... the reason I don't think these rule are great in this circumstance is that your chances of winning a ticket through playing the league are so small. If you had a real shot of winning tickets in the real league games DBI wouldn't be an issue... but because they are all going to come from satellites and semis exclusively... you lose incentive to keep playing after winning one, or if you miss out in your sats... theres hardly any point in playing regular league games.. and if you can't DBI... you get no chance at all...

Re: Main Event Ticket Questions
It definitely could be in SA mate.......
That isn't a statement of just your run of the mill pub poker player. I have been out there, I play 5 nights a week, and I can see the warning signs.....

Re: Main Event Ticket Questions
So I have another question.
I'm in the process of maybe pulling my finger out, choosing a venue for next season and all that.
Let's assume I actually start trying again and make the semi (or whatever it's called now).
If I cash at the semi, and that level of payout includes a ME ticket, WTF am I supposed to do then when I've already got one?
Can I keep it and hold it over till the August ME? (no)
Can I transfer it? (no)
Can I take cash instead (no)
Double-Yoo Tee Eff ?
How is that a good idea?
Can't say I'd be too thrilled with a cash prize that's $1200 short and the substitute for that $1200 is useless to me or anyone else.
Is there an option I've missed?

Ah good.
Now we're back to being pretty silly instead of perceived to be ridiculous, progress is good right?
