Yeah, I agree with each point u all make. They cover the reasons I don't play them much anymore. I usually only play depending on who is already registered.I really enjoy the opportunity to have interaction with other 888pl members interstate and would hate to see the games die off completely.

Could this downturn be detrimental to the partnership with 888?

Now that there is the almalgamation of APL and 888pl is there a want for the 888 connection?

I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!

This is an issue that has needed to be brought up for some time. I would suggest that Fullhouse group start pushing 888 as an online alternative for the APL player base now that Fulltilt are done. Maybe incorporate the APL players into the 888pl on-line games in some way? I.e. Get a combined leaderboard going for Home/Away games for APL as well?? (and have the 888pl home games 888pl/APL combined)....

There also needs to be some reward for online play, like qualification for States, especially now that you can no longer buy-in to States. You could even stipulate that to qualify for States through an on-line leaderboard, you need to play a minimum of 15 in venue games for the season (5 per month should be achievable for most)....

Great thread Dave....

G'day,

The reason I'm not playing the Daily or Feature events is because they are not worth it. $5+ to buy in & only get 3 runners is "not a good return for your monies" There is more incentive to play the free rolls "more points ( only because of the amount of runners ) & you can get a seat into another event".
When was the last time that a deepstack Tue/Thu or deepstack Sat. game get enough runners?
I had to laugh the other day when a player was excited about finishing in the points in A2K(_Y_) "45.6 points" & said that will help with my Dream Team.
It used to be top 10 venue qualified for S/F's, then came the online & it went to top 5 venue/5 online, then top4 venue & the online was dropped from the equation but people could buy in, Now it is top 3 from venues only.

Nightly games numbers dropping

Harps there was 43 runners for the $10 tuesday game the other week, that is a good amount, but the $5 games have dropped right off.

Also, Dave is correct not sure what you mean about regionals

Hi All,

I appreciate everyone's feedback regarding our online games, and the numbers associated with these. Please know that any input, good or bad is something we appreciate, and take on board moving into the future development of our online component. If you do have anything further to add please feel free to email me at Glyn@fullhousegroup and I will be more than happy to address any issues you may have.

As we quickly approach the end of the year, I will be working closely with many here at Headquarters to develop new tournaments, satellite structures and anything to maintain 888PL prescence on the 888 platform moving into 2012. Whilst we have seen a small decline in numbers for some of our buy in tournaments, our $11 Deepstack's regularly attract 30+ runners on Tuesday and Thursday respectively and our freerolls have always remained strong- an added satellite step bonus for winning the tournament could be contributed to this. Which leads me to believe that the demand for a step series or something similar is definitely something that would be well received within the community.

As always we aim to maintain and constantly improve your playing experience with us, and judging by the feedback we have currently received it seems a satellite series or some form of reward for winning a leaderboard/ major online tournament would be a fresh injection into the online experience. Please know that your thoughts and input will not go unnoticed and i will be making sure that we can gauge as much feedback as possible moving forward in helping to develop our online schedules for 2012.

As i said earlier if you have any questions regarding anything to do with our online side of things, or any general comments please feel free to contact me at Glyn@fullhousegroup.com.au

A few years back in the N.P.L days we used to have regional finals as well as S/F, had to play 20 games in 2 seasons,
I digress :?

Several things,

Has anyone ever considered the horrible play going on right now. Look I love poker but i'm finding the state of play in 888pl online terrible, the freerolls are even worse. I find it painful playing a full ring holdem game for example where 3/4's of the table limp in 40-45% of the time, rarely raise, never re-raise or win a hand after calling a raise and re-raise with 2 3 off then have 3 or 4 ppl type in the chat NH when they make a winning hand on the river because they called the all in flop bet against KKwhen they have a gutshot str8 draw.

I make bad calls all the time, I make bad calls OOP but I like to think I trying to improve my game constantly, I mostly end up on the final table but just as often find navigating that minefield that is bad play, just mostly depressing.

The $10 game has a little better standards and IMO attracts better quality players, but you still see a lot of 20 time the BB raises with low pockets only to be called by higher pockets then you see the NH comments when the low pockets hit the set on the river after being put all in on the flop.

I would have thought over the last 18 months a little improvement in some of the players. For example I recall a player raise to 320 when the blinds are 10/20 with AA get 4 callers behind him, and shove all his chips in the middle being first to act on a board reading 6 7 10, and getting called by player that has 89s.

That being said, there is very little reward for playing 888pl games it doesn't really do much being in the top 5 on the home games board each season, I would rather play the $3 rebuy on 888 that starts about 6.30pm and has about 300 runners, I know that in this game I can make money about 50% of the time and usually do pretty well out of it (although i can be pretty drained afterwards).

I love playing the PLO at the moment and winning about 30% of the time (maybe it should be renamed Wabbits PLO next season).

Also this season, I was looking to play quality not quanity, so i'm playing selected games online, spend the rest of my time watching Tournament Poker Edge videos (except I hate the sound of BigDogpocket5's voice now) or playing the SNG's where I can invest a small amount of my time.

Can't wait for the end of season online tournament weekend is that still going ahead?
