DONT BRING UP 2007 :(

Fcking Woosha took Glass off Cloke and he promptly kicks 3 in the last qtr after being goalless all game.

Also, Ben Reid likely out for this weekend. AWESOME.

Unlucky Aaron. They played well though - should be proud.

Interesting observation:
‎2009 Rising Star winner: Daniel Rich. 2009 EF, Brisbane def. Carlton
2010 Rising Star winner: Dan Hannebery. 2010 EF, Sydney def. Carlton
2011 Rising Star winner: Dyson Heppell ... 2011 EF, Essendon def. Carlton <=== Scroll Over :D

AFL 2011

Funny how quiet everyone is after that weekend :)

We played well, which is odd considering we lost by 20 points. I expected a worse contest than that, but really loved how far the team has come in a year. We didn't seem to have a game plan, just bomb it into the forward line and Harry O Brien (my most hated player) and Davis just mopped it up and crushed us. After the first quarter I was hopeful we would carry that intensity all the way through, but wasn't to be.

Didn't help that our stars were nonexistent though (Nicoski, Embley, Darling). Showed how much we missed Kerr and Rosa's class in the midfield. Really need Cox up this weekend, so important to us.

My man crush probably had his worst game for the year, and with that crucial miss in the last quarter. Nic Nat is scary good, going to be so exciting in the coming years.

I expect us to beat Carlton this week at home and gallantly lose to Geelong in the preliminary. We beat them earlier in the year, but they've done a complete 180 from their last few games of the H/A season and look to be too good.

But it's footy, anything can happen.

Nice write-up Aaron.
Agree with most of that.

i agree too, although harry o'brien is probably one of the few collingwood players that i like

wc losing cox in the third quarter was horrible for them.

I don't mind Harry, except when he shepherds players on the mark for someone else. That tilts me.

Oh I only hate Harry cos he always destroys Lecras.

Oh, and when he was 81-1 for first goal in last years GF with a shot from 40m, slight angle... He doesn't even make the distance. $810 gone :(

Insane the amount of money players get paid these days.

No one in the league is that good - and while I've seen nothing of Scully, a lot of people are telling me he's overrated anyway.

it really sucks, but i guess when you look at it, it is probably the smartest and quickest way to get the new teams up and running and competitive.
