Listening now... Really loved the news section, the info was really great although you guys sound pretty n00by in the sections your were reading... I think time will straighten that our, or perhaps a couple of rehearsals (unless you already do that) but over all, great job!

I guess you want some constructive critisism, here are a couple of things that might help:

benny the cunt, I thought you were really good in the first one, and I think that is because it was unscripted. I could definitely tell in this one when you were reading and when you were not. Maybe try and just dot point the show and ad lib a bit more, because you are alot more natural when doing this (maybe do a few rehearsal runs as well to feel comfortable). The only other thing I would do is try and get a couple other voices doing the commercials? Don't get me wrong, old man Swanky, you def have the voice, but it would bring a new level of professionalism to it with commercials that are voiced by different people....

All in all, great stuff!!

we pretty much discussed this as well, the first one could have been a bit tighter, this one was a bit too scripted.

we also learned a lot with editing.

Yeah, it won't take long, you guys are doing really well considering neither of you have done this before....

One other thing, I would include Garth's last name on the announcement on your website. This also gives more professionalism and polish...

You could say "Fullhouse Group's {insert Garth's official title here} Garth Kay"... And include the fact that Fullhouse Group are now basically running the show for the serious pub poker player....

And instead of saying "give away the mistress poker shirt again", say, "another chance for our listeners to win an awesome mistress poker shirt"....

Don't cross brands too much with the rail and Mistress Poker. They are 2 separate entities, and used right, can cross promote each other really well, but only if done right, and not in your face. I can see the Rail becoming the mainstream info source, and mistress just becoming a "major sponsor", amongst many paying sponsors in the long term.....

Once you guys perfect the delivery, it will be really easy to get it out there (I do it for a living), so let's get it 100% and get you guys out there!!!

Good job lads
Back ground noises, 1 of the adds for the forum the bar sound was a bit to high & made it a bit hard to hear what old-man daryl was saying & was Garth tapping on a table? was a thud that kept coming through about every 15 seconds "like a mic lead was broken"
But that being said THE RAIL is the only podcast I have ever listened to & I can't wait for the next one

yeah there was a bit of a thumping noise.

at one point in the podcast there is also the sound of me shuffling chips - i have a stack of chips that i shuffle when i play online, and i usually put them well away, but they magically found their way back into my hands at one stage.

we have new audio equipment now, so the next show should be better
