How come? Both of these things drive people to play more satellites
I don't mind the idea of transferring a winning ticket from one player to another. I would encourage players to win as many as they can. I personally have never liked players being able to transfer tickets to later events as it diminishes the prizes pools and give those said players an easy ride through the following season.
I am also a big fan of qualification methods that reward players for volume of games and those games results like POTM (player of the month) etc. Although direct entry satellites where you can bank your finals ticket in one hit are good for some, It's just not my cup of tea.
I would love to see something like a DS monthly freeroll tournament for winners (where maybe top 1-2 get entry) or perhaps a another go at the MQF (Monthly Qualifying Final) which I am sure the boys at FHG would be able to deliver so much better now after our learning experiences from the first season of the 888PL.
I don't know if it's just me, but live pub poker has become less and less attractive to me as of late (even know the structures seem to be getting better and better)
I played the $10 CBI at Dingley last Friday and it was great, had a few beers donked'like'a'boss for 2-3 hours, I had fun. I just I felt like what's the point though, why bother going to these games which are soo -EV when I can simply reg at my local freeroll ten times (and not stamp up) and then buy directly into the SF's and GF for rough amount of $600 which is only about 20-30% more than what I would have spent if I had have stamped up at 10+ live games.
I am really interested in seeing where this Main Event leads... I like the idea.
