Can't wait to see more about this.
Interested in more detailed methods of qualification.

first thing, i am really excited about this and would love to try and qualify.

i would love to see LOTS of satellites, both online and live.

just thinking off the top of my head,

live, something like a weekly 10r into a monthly $200 super satellite would be cool - even if you awarded state finals points for the satellite game, and if someone already had a ticket to the monthly game they could keep the cash or whatever. 2k packages might be the way to go for people outside the state.

i think something like a dailly 3r feeder to a monthly $100fo satellite would work well online too, either a package or seat only.

im sure i dont have to tell you, but i think LOTS of satellites is the way to do if its a qualify only event. i would love to be able to play some sort of qualification tournament (either a full satellite or a feeder) just about every week.

in the announcement, you say that you want to move the event to another state.

are you looking to always hold it in a casino or will it be held in some other venue. i, for one, would happily pay rake to ensure it stays at a casino and to uphold the integrity of the event.

My first thoughts about the qualification, other than "well, I wasn't going to fork out $1200 anyway!" are that for 500+ qualifiers it would almost HAVE to be via an awful lot of satellites.
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Very cool idea, it'll obv come down to satellites/qualifications etc, how they're structured.

I would like tickets to be non-transferable and players can win a maximum of one (1) ticket.

How come? Both of these things drive people to play more satellites

Agree benny the cunt.

If you do win a ticket, and something happens that means you can't go, is that a good thing if the ticket cannot be transferred?

There's plenty of satellites where the winner had no idea what they were even playing for to start with, transfers are an excellent idea then I would think.

I can see an argument for the point of view that it will devalue the competition, it's supposed to be a big deal after all, but there'll be APL players so.....

:D
