Ah, my bad! The paragraphing of the story made me think the whole flop had been dealt.
Who was that masked man?

ive read somewhere that Wang had been warned previously 10-15 minutes earlier re exposing his hand [ angle shooting ???] does this make any difference....with river card to come....??

IMO this doesn't make any difference in this hand at all. I have heard of NPL officials trying to justify this farce because of the warnings, but Jacky clearly asked the opponent how much he had behind, then went ahead and bet that much, thinking he had put him all in.
BIG lesson to Jacky, I assume he will always just say "All in" in future to prevent a similar occurance from happening....
What?, poker without the river??, you've just made my dreams come true!!!

This may be the case and if it is true he may have deserved a penalty but the penalty that was given was excessive and not in the spirit of the game. From what I have read if he was angle shooting or something similar then the hand would remain live and would be completed and in this case Wang would have been awarded the pot. Immediately after this hand Wang would have been sat out for a round as a penalty for the rule breach.

Surely the fact that he put all his chips in before saying I call should be the most defining part of this story, if anything he was raising 2500 by moving all his chips in, I have never seen a player be able to put all their chips in and then say call and take some out, thats got to be the worst TD call I have ever seen.

One of the 2008 Main Event’s most controversial moments came in the late stages of Day 6 play. It featured two 27-year-old professionals – Brandon Cantu and Nicolai Losev - who both figured prominently in the chip standings, and who both went on downward spirals from this point forward.
Losev was the chip leader, while Cantu had their table’s second-largest stack heading into the hand in question. With $3,295,000 in the pot, the board read Jh-As-8c Ah 4c when Cantu checked the action. Losev grabbed his entire stack of $100,000 lavender chips - around 30 of them - and moved them toward the pot. Then he changed his mind.
Keeping his hand on the stack, Losev brought them back to his seat, then bet out for $1,500,000. Cantu, admitting “I might be slitting my own throat by doing this,” called for a floorman, insisting that Losev had committed his chips to the pot.
The floor in question ruled that the bet wasn’t official until the hand is removed from the chips. Cantu and Michael Carroll argued with tournament director Jack Effel.
Effel finally decreed that Losev’s second bet would stand; Cantu made the call and turned over 8s-8d for the full house. He was the new chip leader, but he’d have liked to have gotten about $1,500,000 more.

Re: The worst ruling made by a TD EVER??!!
there is a story doing the rounds at present about a guy in the Wynn Macau, during a cash game
60k pot, a dude said all in pre flop, was snap called by a dude with aces, once the all in dude saw the bullets, he said "i was only joking" picked up all his chips and left the table
and was alowed to leave by the Casino staff
has caused a fair stink on 2 + 2 as you would imagine

Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Supposedly an executive at the Wynn paid him back the money that was stolen off the table.

I remember watching last years WSOP involving Prahlad Friedman with the countdown clock.
