for everyone that is following this thread (which is probably noone) this is what i ended up getting. i bought it today, so it's sitting in my car. cant wait to get home and build the system.

i also have 2x1TB hard drives from my current PC that will go in the new PC.

obviously the SSD is going to be used as the boot drive, and for program files. but i am going to move the my documents folders over onto the 1TB HDD, so that all of the program data crap isn't getting written to the SSD all the time, and so i have a 1TB space for docs etc. i am hoping to set up a RAID with the two 1tb hdds that i have, so i will have 1TB of backed up space for all of my data etc, and then 4TB of space which will just be for movies and TV shows which i dont care as much if the drive fails. 5TB of storage FTW.

never done a RAID before so it will be interesting to see how it goes.

oh, and before anyone asks, i wanted to get WD drives but they didn't have any in stock, so i went with seagate. i really dont think it matters in the end, both drives have good reputations.
