Re: AFL 2011
Apparantley Neil Craig just found out about the Stars/FTP/Absolute indictment at half time & spent the 3rd and 4th quarters trying to withdraw his roll rather than doing anything footy related.
May all your pain be champagne!

Re: AFL 2011
LOL Glenn. Two very crucial players for us. Reimers will replace Winderlich which is OK but not sure who will replace and who can be as good as Dempsey is in defence. I think few can match his speed. At least Hille will be back.
I think I'll leave Essendon at 6th. After Collingwood we have a few gimme games. At the start of the season I woulda taken 1 game out of the first 5 we played but we have come out with at least 2.5 games which is a positive. I don't think we'll beat the Magpies but I think we should aim to be competitive.

Re: AFL 2011
I am a big believer that it only takes a couple of injuries to throw a whole season into turmoil - I think we are seeing it in Adelaide, Brisbane & St. Kilda (and can be compounded by other factors).
That is why all the hype about Collingwood (who have only really played 1 decent team) can be shattered if one (or two) of their guns are sidelined.

Re: AFL 2011
Pleased with WCE's season so far - haven't watched any games cos the AFL telecast is a joke, but I've been following match reports etc and by all accounts we've been punching above our weight. The Sydney/Hawthorn games in the past two weeks could've gone either way, disappointing that we can't close games out but good to see we're at least being competitive.
Losing Lecras and Waters certainly hasn't helped.

Re: AFL 2011
WCE played VERY well against Hawthorn, barring our clearance work and the superfreak Franklin the result would have been very different.
Only optimism at Subiaco compared to what most would have predicted (spoon or there abouts, Worsfold axing etc).
